Backline great yet again, repeat entries all night and single handedly kept us in it.
Couldnt get much going inside forward 50, missed plenty of easy opportunities and didnt seem to create our normal pressure.
Midfield was well and truly beaten.... Missed Dusty badly.

Not a good game and another interstate loss, but move on and focus on winning the next 3 back in Melboune to keep us firmly in top2 contentions.

Can't win them all. Another forgettable game.

Really missed the big bodies in the midfield with Martin and Graham out. Port have some big boys and we couldn't stick tackles to save our lives.

Out - Butler, Higgins, Menadue
In, Martin, Rioli, Graham

Some really stupid mistakes by the team. Higgins did a few, even in the last qtr he kept the ball in when he should have killed it. Grigg not going for that mark when it was 2 on 1 was criminal. Hopefully, we can reset and reload because I want to beat the campaigners from shantytown.

5 minutes in the 3rd quarter they kicked 4 goals won the game , But we did have a few kids playing and they will learn
Menadue,Higgins,Moore

Miles very disappointing game and the difference between VFL and AFL is huge, We had alot of players down tonight and missing
Prestia,Rioli,Houli,Martin.

If Grigg had of gone for that mark and and got us within 1 goal they would have won imo
Yep I agree about Grigg but that's why I dislike him as a footballer he is the ultimate panic merchant.

Also no injuries my arse

Houli, Prestia, Martin, Rioli Have I missed anyone?
All very comfortably in our Best 22.

God I cannot wait to see those four back.

I want Graham back next week. We’ll need his big body in the centre against Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield and GAJ.

Worst we've played for a while and still almost stole it.
Menadue. I thought he was travelling well last year before being dropped, but he just hasn't hit his straps this week. Needs to go to the 2s.
With both Dusty & Prestia out, I liked Miles in, but I'm afraid he hasn't convinced me of his spot in the team. We will look better with Dusty, Graham and Prestia ( how long ?) back in the team. Graham & Townsend could have been handy tonight
Edwards & Cotchin show a bit of class when they have the ball but felt they only showed cameos.
I think we miss Houli down back. Liked Short's game & despite some howlers thought Vlastuin was good.
Forwards just didn't have a good night. Moore & Butler rarely seen. Castagna, Caddy & Higgins a bit average.
First time I've felt Nank was soundly beaten.

Fumbles frustrating, but not as frustrating at our inability to complete a tackle. Also one of those games where Port somehow found players with their blind handballs, but we tended to put it down their throats.

McIntosh, Conca and Butler must go back to the VFL. Maybe one or two others as well. That was pathetic. Weak tackling, no pressure, no system going forward, fumbling all night and once again we miss crucial opportunities to score. What the **** was Grigg doing in the goal square?

Thought we should've/could've won obviously that second quarter hurt.
Just found we were second to the ball most of the night and tackles just weren't sticking.
Rioli will be back and dusty next week so who makes way? I thought Higgins did enough and although Moore didn't do a lot I think he should stay in.
OUTS: Menadue and Miles
INS: Rioli and Martin

Wrote before the match PA might stage a late season surge, four of their next five matches are relatively easy, some nitwit criticised my comment.
Miles has to go, staged for a free, PA player snapped a goal. Like you say, glacial pace.
Martin was best on ground last year, a major loss, ignore the media hype.

After watching Jack get absolutely smothered tonight I’d throw the kitchen sink at Lynch. Jack could be the 2008 Richo next year.
We need contested possesions and clearances.
Give Chol/Balta/CCJ a go.

That Miles missed high that lead to Gray goal, Conca holding the ball, Gray free for holding onto Grimes and Rance free for holding down the ground had a massive impact on the game. Think they got 3.1 or 2.2 from those. So essentially the difference.

Out: Conca, Butler, Menadue.

We played poor and could have won it. Lucky not to be comprehensively beaten but could have won it.

We desperately need some players to come in as some need a spell.

Menadue is not going to make it. Butler needs a wake up call. Concs doesn't have the smarts and composure to play inside. B Ellis on thin ice again.

Butler so disappointing though. Just no effort.
Butler was so good last week and tonight looked so disinterested
