I enjoyed Jack getting a free and being booed by the saints fans.
Mis-kicks it to Bronx cheers only for Caddy to mark near the point post and snap truly.
A quick centre clearance and Jack is lining up again and nails it 2nd time round.

Was like a cat torturing a little mouse.
Caddy gave it to the saints morons behind the goals afterwards too.

Collingwood posters, if you are reading this, we are gonna smash you like the shit truck, no talent, loser team you are. To think you think you’re a chance is about as insulting as it gets when compared to the greatness that is this Richmond team. You’re gonna get schooled you minnows.

A good win after taking the foot off the throat at half time. Still looked to be some passengers getting gametime for the future (Moore, Menadue).

I liked Ellis on the wing. I think it allows him to use his abilities a bit more (i.e. speed) to have a good effect on attack. Ellis seemed like a trial to see if he can take over from Grigg and I think he will. He got in the All-Australian squad when playing on the wing and I think it just suits him better.

From defence he doesn't have the same impact I feel. McIntosh certainly offers a lot more than Corey Ellis. More body at the contest and desire to win from roughly the same possessions. To me, it's a simple decision on which should be in the side.

I don't think we missed Houli. In saying that, if/when Houli goes we need Short signed up so he and Broad can cover the flanks.

Next week I can see Moore going out for Stengle if Stengle has another big game. If Houli is fit I don't know who goes out. McIntosh is the obvious one but I don't know how that fits Houli in the side structurally. It would leave the side with too many small defenders and not enough midfielders unless the coaches feel someone like Short could move further up the field. Probably Meneadue actually. That does make more sense.

Great 1st half

Went home at 1/2 time. Should have been ruthless and won be 100+.

Out:Moore, Menadue, Castagna
In: Townsend, Houli, Stengle

Our percentage is miles ahead of anyone else already so it makes sense to go into preservation mode and think about upcoming games when you have the win locked in at half time.

Can someone post that pic of a newspaper earlier this year that showed Rance was the best 1on1 defender in the game? The one that has him at the lowest lose rate

lol oppos say he's no good coz he doesn't play 1 on 1 but in reality he 1 on 1's all 6 forwards at the same time

As my mate said to me during the game, "Just soak it in brother...stress free football."

Looking forward to our rude awakening next week.

Second half saints just went into stop a blowout mode. I reckon Dimmas right if zones are implemented teams will get smashed more often. I’m sick of umpires inventing free kicks.
Yeah Nank lays a beautiful tackle on a saints player brings hime to ground and the maggott called it a high tackle...free kick invention i call it!

I’ve already got a few mouthy ferals from the main board in mind.

I’m gonna let them run their mouths for a bit, then time my drive by.

Who said Dusty was overweight?

I did love it though when Swanny looked genuinely tubby one time, media talking all week about him being out of shape and then he has like 36 disposals, 3 goals, best on ground in the next game.
I think he might've even rubbed his guts for one goal celebration. :D
Delicious.

Settled down to watch the game and went wow this is more like it from us.

Wasn't much later and I'm thinking Saints are so shit I don't know what you can take from this game really.

Given the opposition you'd expect everyone to have shone.

Detracts from my pleasure of seeing Moore presenting up to the ball with strength which I'd been hoping to see more of.

Didn't stick the marks but if he had would have looked good for him.

Don't know if you'd want to consider that as the step he gets the opportunity to make next week or if you'd drop him for not having done so before now.

I was over the predictability of us turning on the pressure in the last 1/4 which I thought clubs were getting good at preparing for so for us to come out sizzling in the 1st was pleasing. Just need to build on that so we are rolling in that form for the whole game come finals.

Last year we didn't turn it on in the last we broke teams open over the course of the game which made it appear that way and that is where we need to get back to.

Moore and Castagna remind me of Jake King and Steve Morris in the way that they provide manic energy and pressure to the team game but are a level down in quality with their execution and finishing. KMac had a great 2017 between an ordinary 2016 and a less than impressive 2018. They all do good things at times but not often enough to warrant their continued selection, albeit in the positions they are selected in.

Of these three, I'd like to keep Moore in but possibly move him out of the deep forwards and onto the wing, perhaps replacing KMac. Moore is tall, fast and can tackle. I'd prefer to see Townsend back in Moore's position to give us more scoring potency while not losing defensive pressure. Eventually I'd like to see someone like Balta tried on the wing. If Balta builds a tank, he could be the new reconstructed Richo.

George is a frustrating enigma. Even in 2017 his marking and set shot skills were only fair while his attack on the ball carrier and shots for goal on the run were excellent. He's still getting to where the ball is but we have other players who can do that but pressure and finish better. Can't see him staying after Butler and Graham return.

It seems that the game plan has written off Lloyd and Miles as components of Richmond's future and, while harsh, I can understand why. There are very good promising players in our VFL side and they should be the ones who need to be developed. Hopefully Markov gets his chance again.

After last night, I'd be surprised to see us finish lower than second which sets us up for a great finals series. Good times to be a Tiger.
Great summation although kingy was ok in shots for goal

Remember the days when...
...winning the toss a reason to celebrate, you held your breath every time the ball was kicked in from fullback, we'd be three on one with the ball and turn it over, opposition players regularly ran into a forward fifty hole while ours stood there looking at each other, Richo and then Jack kicked all of our goals, September was the month to book a holiday, our coaches drove to work in a removal van just in case, we were broke, the Brisneyland Bears would beat us, Geelong and Hawthorn used us to boost their percentage, Dunstall and Ablett licked more goals than our team, Mitch Morton was our leading goal kicker and then played in a Premiership for Sydney?

Life is soooooo much better now!
I remeber hoping we’d kick 15 goals at least twice in the season and ending up with a percentage over 100 was a goal for the year...
