Burton sensational. Just need MG to get over his kicking yips and things are moving up. The sight of leading forwards was so sweet and JHF I'm a believer. One game however but nice surprise .

JHC is already arguably the best kick in the team. Some of those I50s...schwing! 25 possessions, 10 contested. Most clearances (7) and a goal. He should get an operation every preseason. Our young midfield showing the incredible potential they have.
Sigh of relief to see Allir back to his best. Burton sublime at half back. AA candidate if he stays fit. McKenzie continues to play successfully above his size.
Dixon - the good, the bad, the ugly all in one game. Good to see Marshall picking up where he left off, not good to see Mitch's kicking picking up where it left off. One of the best goals from Rioli from a paid non mark I have seen. Albeit it is probably a small sample size.
But most of all congratulations to Fantasia who got through three quarters of a game without injuring himself.

Port after a wasteful first quarter and lapses in the second came out after half time and dominated the second half through relentless pressure Charlie Dixon lifted in the third and things clicked . Horne Francis was fantastic . Lycett was right the contest in the middle and the new mix in the midfield worked a treat.
Powell Pepper was excellent particularly in the first half so was Rioli , loved his game . Duursma , Burton and Houston were all great , Bergman and DBJ good in fact pretty much all played well ,be hard to drop someone .

It's been a while since I enjoyed a game so much. Not only to beat a good side but to beat them convincingly. We've beaten good sides at home but normally in tight contests without many 'jump out of your seat' moments. But today was different. High on entertainment value with JHF and Junior leading the way. Who knows whether we can maintain this kind of form but if we can the crowds will return. And on the subject of crowds 34K was a pretty decent effort.

Yeah he's a bit of a seagull but you need some players who just know where to be and how to put the ball through the sticks.
Once or twice one if he or Orazio needed to go and neither did which could become a problem when both are playing
