You can thank me for that, I just traded him into my Supercoach team last week.

Elliot Yeo injured out for a month
This comparison is bizarreCaminiti is 18 and had never played at the level let alone trained a pre season whereas Billing’s was back training within a month and and is supposedly a fully conditioned mature age body with 10 seasons under his belt. Many players of similar ilk come back within a game or two at VFL level. Let’s also remember he has played incredibly poorly at Sandy also so not becoming of a seasoned pro.
Looking at the latest WCE injury list, they have 21 players included. Surely we beat them well this Sunday, but a little voice inside my head says otherwise. Having said that this is a perfect game to give some of our emerging players some key roles and to see what they can produce. If anyone can lose to WCE its St Kilda, particularly after the roasting they have had in media this week. Nothing should surprise anymore it will either be a 10 goal win or a loss.
WC might put up a better showing thus week but there's no chance they'll risk winning. If anyone can lose to WCE its St Kilda, particularly after the roasting they have had in media this week. Nothing should surprise anymore it will either be a 10 goal win or a loss.
It's hard to really comprehend how bad West Coast are. Think about a 170 point loss, that's basically the equivalent of two absolute hidings in one game. That is next level uncompetitive and it is astounding they didn't sack the coach after that game.If anyone can lose to WCE its St Kilda, particularly after the roasting they have had in media this week. They can't get rid of Simpson, it would cripple them in debt from a pay out to soft cap breaches.it is astounding they didn't sack the coach after that game.
I think 'competitive' is an appropriate description of the Saints. We make teams work to beat us but we have to work hard to win. Should be enough to win comfortably this week. It's hard to really comprehend how bad West Coast are. Think about a 170 point loss, that's basically the equivalent of two absolute hidings in one game. We've been frustrating to watch this year but we have been competitive nearly every week. We are in the hunt for the finals and there's no way I see us losing this.
That's probably the best explanation I've heard about how we are playing this year.I think 'competitive' is an appropriate description of the Saints. We make teams work to beat us but we have to work hard to win. Should be enough to win comfortably this week.
Not sure we’ve been competitive some weeks as our scores may be close , but as we’re such a low scoring side we were never in it .It's hard to really comprehend how bad West Coast are. They have more money than anybody. Well at least they used to.They can't get rid of Simpson, it would cripple them in debt from a pay out to soft cap breaches.
Why would it be any different to us sacking Ratts? They can't get rid of Simpson, it would cripple them in debt from a pay out to soft cap breaches.
Not different at all…how many weeks does someone of Billing’s supposed standing at the club need? How long has he been playing at Sandy? And he almost did a full pre season before his injury. In the context of where we are at in the season and the lack of AFL quality below pick 8 to 10 on the list you’d think he’d be way ahead of many even with a shallow fitness base. Somethings up.
thats pretty poor for a guy of billings ageIf you think 20 plus disposal, 1 goal a game is incredibly poor (coming off an injury) then what is a the standard?
- Jack Billings

In today's world everyone's entitled to their own logic broThis comparison is bizarre
Firstly one is a key forward, the other a forward flanker
Caminiti may be 19 (not 18) but he came in fit after a full pre season when all of our key forwards were shot down with injury. Had Membrey or King been fit I doubt he plays round one.
Billings did not start his pre season until mid January due to back issues. He then broke his leg 6 weeks later, returned two months later and did a hammy after a few weeks.
We also have Butler and Higgins probably in the best for of their career.
I have no idea how Caminiti getting a game has anything to do with Jack Billings?
Anyway, I'll move on now
We won’t lose but it’ll be an ordinary 5 goal winIf anyone can lose to WCE its St Kilda, particularly after the roasting they have had in media this week. Nothing should surprise anymore it will either be a 10 goal win or a loss.
not to get involved in the discussion you and birdman have going on
but you are correct on billings... he had a decent block of games in the VFL uninjured and did * all. he's done. you have butler and higgins ranked 2 & 3 for small fwds in the game. he aint pushing either of those out. so then he has to push someone else out... that leaves Hill, Owens or Phillipou. can't see that happening.
Yeah tend to agree, based on his perceived standing in the list it would appear the club has moved, or is moving on from him, especially as a once automatic selection and member of the core group. It’s harsh but his career reminds me of Fiora’s, just hasn’t worked hard enough to deliver on his natural talent.not to get involved in the discussion you and birdman have going on

I’ve pointed out the differences but I’ll do it again
Caminiti was fully fit and coming off a pre season with another club
Whether it was with Carltons AFL side or their VFL affiliate, he had an uninterrupted pre season behind him.I've seen it mentioned a few times now that Caminiti did a full pre season with Carlton. He was a top up for their vfl side - do we really think the top up players at Sandringham did a full pre season with the Saints? Caminiti got noticed as a make up the numbers player in a scratch match.
I think he'll be great for us with a couple of afl pre seasons under his belt.
