Decent effort without our best forward, midfielder and defender today against a Top 4 team.

Ward didn’t have a great game. Not sure playing wing uses his best attributes.

More than happy with the effort. Disappointed some of senior players today, our young players showed more composure than more senior players.

HH great debut, looks to be another big bodied mid we can throw into the rotations.

Though Sis looked like he was playing an all star game.

Reeves was good just wish he would jump more in the ruck contest.

Melsham having 8 shots is a disappointing result

Not going to win 2 many games with 39 I50, backline held up well. Game lost in the midfield.

1 more week to go until cricket season

Just back from the game.

Very proud of this team.

How different to just to the game against say Collingwood only 2 weeks ago.

Our forward line after a goal was scored in the 3rd quarter: the forward 6 where: 38,13,24,32,44 and 23

13 Moore is the only regular in that group. 23 Kosi a possible new member but the rest! Wow.

Ramsden
Moore
DGB
Finn
Henry H
Kosi

versus against Collingwood a forward line of

Lewis
Wingard
Breust
Brandon Ryan
Kosi
Moore

Big difference in experience.

Hustlewaite was great, very comfortable kicking for goal. Great to see.

Clayton O did not appreciate the tag, dirty little runt.

Seemed that Finn would start in the forward 6 at the bounce before moving onto Oliver around the ground.

Blanck is going to have to learn to lose that push after the mark. did it several times after getting penalised.

Reeves was excellent today.

Not enough love for Reeves.
He is the first ruckman to make gawn accountable, and he managed to get back and take a few marks too.

Hustwaite looks good.

Kosi super frustrating. When he's off, he's really off. When he's on he's the next Carey.
Kosi really struggles when he is asked to be our main key forward.

He's had plenty of opportunities to do this role all year and has never really nailed it.

Seems to play much better as third fiddle behind Lewis and Ryan.

Can only play the key forward pinch hitting in the ruck role in the future

I don’t think there’s a spot for Koschitzke in the forward-line next year. I would rather have Lewis, Ryan & Grainger-Barras as the three forwards.

If Jai and Lewis plays today we win

Really? Maybe. I think everything changes if you have those players in. Better chance for Hawthorn, for sure, but the opposition would have prepared for that team with Jai and Lewis.

You only beat who you play on the day, so "would have, could have" things don't matter. Who knows...

Go hawks.

I thought Grainger-Barras competed really well. That was definitely his best game as a forward. Coming up against a strong Melbourne defence, his effort was good. A full pre-season to improve on his endurance will work wonders for him.

Drafted as a defender, yet showed he's a genuine CHF; demonstrated enough today to persist with him.

This. You cannot cover them.

Hus is a keeper. Love him. Sam will too.

DGB outstanding in the 2nd.

Worpel the best mid on the ground.
Amon very good.

Would love to see Ryan in this week to partner with DGB. Ramma not up to it yet.

Reeves very good against Gawn.

They were too good this time. But we're coming.

Great effort. Great learnings. Really excited to see how we negate our F50 issues in the off season. Now that we can get it in there easily enough, we just can't retain it. It's been diabolical all year. A key forward will no doubt be the priority, but we need pressure, pressure, pressure.

Oh! The decision to play Ramma was a poor one. His VFL form didn't warrant it.

May treated Koschitzke with contempt. I love what Kosi brings as the third forward/ruck but as the main man it was hard to watch.

Ramsden also struggled to keep Lever accountable, then I believe we tried Scrimshaw in the fourth? We really needed someone like Ryan to threaten aerially.

DGB torched Tomlinson especially in the second. Ran out of puff - he always does - but really liking his performances the last two weeks. A lot to build on.
