I am feds up. Sack Hinkley.Tired. Sack. Hinkley.
It won't happen directly after the game. Hopefully, the ****er is gone by Monday!I can't believe it.
27 more hours and no more Kern Honkey
How much would I love to get into the cheer squad shed on Friday afternoon and change the banner to Sack Hinkley.
Happy Ken-mas eve, Port fans!
I wrote the following poem for you with the help of ChatGPT:
The Night Before Ken-mas
(With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore)
'Twas the night before Ken-mas, and all through the town,
The Power fans grumbled, their hopes beaten down.
The scarves were hung by the lockers with care,
In fear that poor Ken would no longer be there.
The players were restless, not snug in their beds,
While visions of grand finals danced in their heads.
And Ken in his polo, with clipboard in hand,
Sipped Pepsi Max nervously, fearing the stand.
When out on the field, there arose such a clatter,
The fans turned to Twitter to see what’s the matter.
Away to the newsfeeds, they flew like a flash,
To check if old Kenny was soon to be trashed.
The moon on the Oval, so grassy and green,
Lit up the big stage for this knockout scene.
When, what to the faithful's eyes should appear,
But a hawk and a Power, with nothing but fear.
With a little old coach, so lively and lax,
They knew in a moment, it must be Ken Max.
More rapid than eagles, the critics they came,
And whistled, and shouted, and called him by name:
"Now, Kenny! Now, Ken-o! Now, stubborn old planner!
On, finals! On, losses! On, post-match manner!
To the edge of the ladder! To the last curtain call!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly,
When finals defeat makes a grown man cry,
So up to the press box the critics they flew,
With sacks full of questions, and Pepsi cans too.
And then, in a twinkling, the rumor mill spread,
The whispers of sacking spun round like a thread.
As Ken took the field, with a can in his fist,
Another sip of that Pepsi — could victory be missed?
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
His game plan was solid, his smile just a quirk.
But fans could be heard, shouting loud with no shame,
"If we lose tomorrow, it’s the end of the game!"
His eyes, how they twinkled! His jawline so stern!
And down went another Pepsi in turn.
But the finals, those playoffs, had all gone to waste,
And Kenny's grand visions? Evaporated in haste.
So tomorrow they gather, the Power and Hawks,
With Port fans prepared for post-match talks.
For if Ken stumbles and the Power do slack,
He might hear, "Merry Ken-mas — now crack your last Max!"
Whoever we get, the great thing is that his name won't be Ken Hinkley.Remember in 2012 when no one wanted to coach Port, and they ended up with Hinkley because he was the last man standing?
You can't compare Port to clubs in Victoria, not many people want to live in SA hence why it's hard for Port to attract high quality coaching staff.
I mean,
Your forwards coach is Chad Cornes.
Your reserves coach is Hamish Hartlett.
Your opposition analyst is Jordan Hinkley.
Enough said.
What makes you think Port will find a quality senior coach this time around, given the situation Port found themselves in last time they were looking for a senior coach?
Yeah. There's no way Koch is going to admit he was wrong and sacks Hinkley. He'll happily blow smoke up Hinkley's arse for saving the club if Hinkley walks, but Hinkley won't leave until he's pried out. I desperately want to believe that this timeI want Hinkley gone as much as anyone, but do you really think Kochie and the board have the cojones to sack a contracted Hinkley? I doubt it.
Even if we lose badly, I can still see Hinkley here next year (hopefully no stupid decision by August this time). My misery is never ending.
I did laugh…..
I’ve already booked leave Mon & Tue to soak up the joy of it allI can't believe it.

Everything that comes out of his mouth benefits no one but himself.Watching that presser, I got the impression that Ken felt like the weight was lifted off his shoulders. Now that doesn't mean that the club have said his job is safe.
But I wonder whether regardless of the result, he's been guaranteed a job elsewhere (West Coast?).
He didn't know Burton was injured and had a go at the reporter that asked him. Had questions about his future asked a couple of times and he didn't seem worried and just said he's contracted. In the past he'd go on about how it's the reality of the industry to serve criticism etc.
Followed by Dixon & Boak signing one year deals, unders for Houston, somehow land another soft **** skater in Lukosius & bathe in stories of Ryan Burton having a bumper pre-season.. Plug in to nowhere land. We're gonna beat Hawthorn. We can't have nice things. We're not going to get the clearcut sacking we so richly deserved. Rozee is going to have 25 and 3 goals. Dixon is going to kick 4. We always ****ing show up when Hinkley's job is on the line. We'll beat Hawthorn and lose the prelim by 4 goals and Hinkley will tell Koch that he wants to coach on and Koch will wilt.
