Brodie Grundy will have played under 6 coaches in less than 4 years:

Nathan Buckley
Robert Harvey
Craig McRae
Simon Goodwin
John Longmire
Dean Cox

Head Coaches as of Round 1, 2013

• Adelaide: Brenton Sanderson
• Brisbane: Michael Voss
• Carlton: Mick Malthouse
• Collingwood: Nathan Buckley
• Essendon: James Hird
• Fremantle: Ross Lyon
• Geelong: Chris Scott
• Gold Coast: Guy McKenna
• GWS: Kevin Sheedy
• Hawthorn: Alistair Clarkson
• Melbourne: Mark Neeld
• North Melbourne: Brad Scott
• Port Adelaide: Ken Hinkley
• Richmond: Damien Hardwick
• St Kilda: Scott Watters
• Sydney: John Longmire
• West Coast: John Worsfold
• Western Bulldogs: Brendan McCartney

It’s genuinely astonishing just as a starting point to look back on before the mountain of happenstance (Dons WADA, Phil Walsh, the Dogs and Dees, Hawks threepeat, the Richmond triple triumph, and on and on) thereafter.
I would right away happily take 8 or 9 of those to replace Hinkley!

Must be nice having a playing group mature enough to come to this realisation, as opposed to the wet quilts we’ve got at Port suckling Hinkley’s teets at every opportunity.

The current administration can't even stomach the idea of announcing a succession plan before Christmas. One of the highest ranked people at the Club has said that announcing such a plan prior to Christmas would make the Club look weak.

I think their decisions surrounding Hinkley for the last 7 years in particular has made the Club look far weaker than anything they could do prior to the Christmas break.

Question remains when will it be annouced? I'm thinking they are going to stage manage it and make it look like it's 100% kens call similar to what has happened today at Sydney. And probably straight after our season ends next year so it's a waiting game for us poor suffering fans.

I think if there is no succession plan announced by round 1 that you cannot discount the possibility of another contract extension.

I do think they'll announce it before round 1 though. But not before Christmas.

After this whole saga and everything that’s happened, they’re worried THAT is what will make them look weak 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Who’s gonna tell them that horse bolted years ago

It reads like one of those histories about the events leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall.

And they wonder why we f#%king despise them.
Helen Keller was deaf dumb and blind and even she could foresee that 2025 will be a car crash at some point.

So can the board, but they’re just sitting back waiting for it to happen rather than being proactive, which could have somewhat insulated all parties involved.

Anyway, 2025 promises to be an amazing death-riding hatewatch for those of us that have been pushed over the edge by this mob.

Surely they wouldn’t give him another extension

'A Patch of Blue' certainly is an underdescribing Hinkley's tenure. Death by a thousand cuts is more apt.

Ron Burgundy What GIF

Has anyone ever resided in a Nursing Home while coaching an AFL club?

Nothing against older folk because I'm approaching that period of my life as well, but the way this club aimlessly (and embarrassingly) operates, he could just be renewed continuously.

Actually a Weekend at Bernie's scenario is still on the cards.

Or maybe the club has done a North Korea and ensured that only his descendants can coach the club (the manipulation and control of the media/propaganda part, has already been achieved).

You would think not. But you can't rule it out if they haven't announced a succession plan by the start of the season.

The dangling of the carrot which is the succession plan is just to shut us up. We're anywhere near that top 4 at the turn of the of bye and he's getting a contract. There's no form of competence anywhere with the key decision makers there, even if Warren and a couple others want J. Carr. David Koch is the biggest ****head that ever graced Alberton. He deserves to be remembered for overseeing the club when every shit record was broken during his time. I couldn't give 2 ****s about sponsorships.

The club has looked weak for years, pathetic actually. Everyone knows it. That's their making. Gees they live in a bubble.
