If Hinkley did the same thing in US sport or European football, he'd be sacked before the morning.
Here, he would have given the post-match conference as former coach. Why wait until morning?

Lets be honest, We were never winning the flag. "Ken Hinkley" and "Premiership coach" are words that will never exist in the same sentence......except the one i just typed.

Hinkley and Premierships don't go together, not as a player, not as a coach.

Someone wrote a great piece about him being a lovely bloke but a loser, it's true.

I've heard him describe football as the "most important of the least important things". I strongly doubt Foss, Jack and co ever espoused such theories.

This is Geelong circa 1989-94, good but not good enough.

I think the players like alot of supporters thought that we would just waltz through the game and beat the dogs and were already thinking about the gf. We as supporters are allowed to do that, players and coaches no. This is on hinkley it's his job to get the players minds right.
The fact that riley Bonner was our best player proves my point.
He was the one player I thought before the game that would get dropped for the gf if he had a poor one. The lad probably felt the same hence his performance. The rest of the playing group were already thinking ahead and probably started the game thinking gee I hope I don't get injured.
.

This 100% and for that he needs to go. That performance cannot be tolerated

To a degree. As supporters, it is bad dudu to think too far ahead as well. The footy gods disapproved.

However from a planning sense, we the fans had no choice but to pre-book flights and accommodation way ahead of time to avoid getting ripped off by the airlines and hoteliers.

On another note, aren't Geelong the biggest trolls in the AFL. Defeating them with ease in the QF's gave us a false sense of security against actual finals contenders.

We hear a lot about how much the players love and play for Ken.

Now that's been proven to be bollocks, what next?

Line in the sand?

Haven't heard that one for a while.

There's not much more we can say, this club is on a downward spiral from here, with a 13 million debt to boot, well done those running this sh*t show.
You need to separate the on field and off field the debt would be half if it wasn't for covid, nearly every club is in debt now and 2 or 3 carry larger debts than us st.kilda, Brisbane carry over 15mil each. The sh*t show is the continued trust our board has in ken surely after last night they can finally see what the rest of us have seen for a while now
