Scott Thompson, Trent Potential, and Aaron Greaves are three more names that belong on the list, so the figure of 20 plus that I saw quoted ( unfortunately I can't remember where) may not have been that far off the mark.
The real unknown is whether the turn over is exceptionally high, or basically par for the course for any long term coaching tenure.
Tyson Edwards is another

I heard Rucci mention the idea of a succesion plan the other day on radio, did anybody else hear that?

For him to say that it means Hinks is on his last contract.
I have been thinking Port might go this way since hearing Koch after the prelim.

Whether it's official or not we need to out the best coach in waiting into the senior assistants seat and put the heat on Ken.

Wouldn't that be interesting, Clarkson sitting next to Stinkley so he can take his job next year.

He said it doesnt work - in general.

Rucci: “Good clubs stay the course” (Melbourne are onto their third coach and Scray their second since Hinkley took the job).

Rucci: “Succession plans don’t tend to work” (Melbourne are warm favourites to take out their first flag since 1964, having executed the Roos2Goodwin handover in 2017).

The last man standing approach is just a hum dinger.

I like how everything we've done over the last few years, and are continuing to do is like doing the safety squint, where you are whipper snipping and you squint really hard to stop shit getting into your eyes instead of wearing safety glasses.

Ken just whipper snips the game plan with the safety squint and get's a ****ing eye abrasion and everyone else gets coated in flying dog shit.

For Rucci to be peddling that out he knows probably what's coming isn't he? seeding the narrative?

Ken would know he's on his last contract, no ifs or buts. They are just trying to snag a GF for Port before they collectively have to admit 10yr ken didn't quite get what he wanted.

The heat will be on massively next year.

How will Ken react to that I wonder, more risk?

It would also allow Koch to save face.

He would claim that the new coach did better because of the grounding and hand over he got from Ken (and the stability of the arrangement).

🥺 I want to get excited that we have a coach at last... Instead of being this rudderless bloody mess we are in now.
Freedom day is either 15th July 2021 or 1st October 2026.
