But he said a series of changes implemented after the 2019 disaster, which followed a preliminary final appearance in 2018, had paid off.

“It was a year that was really disappointing and there was a lot of pressure building on the footy club from an expectation perspective,” Goodwin said on Fox Footy.

I needed to make a change personally, and I could sense in my own mind and my own coaching that the game was starting to get hold of me.

So, Goodwin decides that he needs to change only after two years as Coach following their PF disappointment, meanwhile at Alberton "I wouldn't have changed a thing"

What's the amount of assistant coaches that's come and gone since Hinkley has been at the helm?

Walsh
Hocking
Hart
Wilson
Burgess
Kinsley (not sure?)
Carr
Lade
McKeown
Schofield
Voss

Is there anymore that comes to
memory?

Edit:

Richardson.
Gotch
Rehn
Nicks

Scott Thompson, Trent Potential, and Aaron Greaves are three more names that belong on the list, so the figure of 20 plus that I saw quoted ( unfortunately I can't remember where) may not have been that far off the mark.
The real unknown is whether the turn over is exceptionally high, or basically par for the course for any long term coaching tenure.

Given Trent is still listed as being at the club, why would he be on the list ... has he departed ?
Also, from the post you quoted, are we including fitness staff (McKeown, Burgess), medical staff (Wilson .. I assume thats Michael), coaches that have left to become head coaches (Walsh, Richardson, and perhaps Voss), and coaches that left before Hinkley arrived (Kingsley)

I was told by a regular poster Hentschel left the club some time back, but I haven't checked the website to confirm that, so it is possible he is still there.

To all you happy clappers out there, I hope you watch the GF which Hinkley has failed to get us in year after year. Melbourne were 17th in 2019 and the Bulldogs were 7th. Think about that before you sugar coat Hinkley's arse.

Yeah but we have been up the top part of the 8 - it’s about the journey!

After giving it much thought, I think we should leave the prison bars in the safe hands of the Magpies.

This current bunch of blow ins running the club will only bring shame upon the jumper, maybe that's how it's meant to be because i don't really want the failings of the best part of a decade to be associted with the magpie jumper.

Are we meant to be One Club, maybe not.

Yes, most clubs do. Look at Hawthorn in the same time frame:

Luke Beveridge, Brendan Bolton, Brett Ratten, Cameron Bruce, Chris Fagan, Damian Carroll, Adam Yze, Leon Cameron, Adam Simpson, Brent Guerra, David Neitz, Darren Glass, Scott Burns, Craig Mcrae all came and gone.
In June 2016 I wrote this post and detailed the 23 assistants that Clarko had in his first 12 seasons. My whinge at the time was Port appointing good experienced people that only stay 1 year, in particular Richo and Walsh..

We have had 3 seasons with the same 6 Hinkley,, Voss, Schofield, Bassett, Monty and Lokan.

Time for a change. Looks like Voss, Schofield and Lokan leave. I would prefer Hinkley and Bassett were the 2 that left first.

The question I have is how many club leaders, coaches, high profile players etc. have been actively "moved on" since 2013 for non-performance as opposed to electing to leave for other opportunities or being routine mandatory cuts to list numbers prior to the draft etc.

The only one I can really think of is Wingard ... maybe Shaun Hart?

Not a great statement about holding people accountable for performance in a club that hasn't reached a GF in 9 years under Hinkley.

What we prefer doesn't really matter does it!

Can't wait for the shock miss of finals next year..

'Yeah tuff gig but the new assistants have settled in well, should be great in a couple more years'.... thanks Kenny, poor bloke....

I heard Rucci mention the idea of a succesion plan the other day on radio, did anybody else hear that?

For him to say that it means Hinks is on his last contract.

He said it doesnt work - in general.

Perhaps we pushed Schofield out to go get some experience under a premiership coach with the plan that he will be back in 18 months as his replacement.
