Why on earth would Voss, Mitchell and Goodwin be under pressure!? Two first year senior coaches and one (I hate to say it) reigning premiership coach. Dumb call.

That's not the 'top' 5 - they've shown Goodstuff in the green zone, so safe (derr). Full list here.

Mad to think that Dew has had 5 years at the SUNS!!!
If only Koch had had the balls to call Hinkley's bluff when he threatened to break his contract and take the job at the SUNS.

It would have hurt Koch's ego too much to have a senior coach walk out on him.

It keeps getting better:
"Coming into his ninth season, questions need to be asked of Adam Simpson, and if he is the man to take this club through its next phase of life"

That no hoper Adam Simpson, coming in to his 9th season with only one flag and two grand finals to show for it.

Why can't he be more like superstar coach Ken Hinkley, coming in to his 10th season with no flags and no grand finals to show for it.
It's quite incredible how well Hinkley has hoodwinked the media.

It's unparalleled in modern era AFL history (1990-present) and I can't think of another coach whose had an easier run where the blame is constantly rerouted elsewhere.

A full list turnover afforded.
Multiple talented free agent players added or traded for first round picks.
Moving on assistant coaches thinking they're the problem.
An inept board and club president who unquestionably buy into a 'winning is hard!' philosophy.
Next to zero media scrutiny after a record losing home PF.
Being able to change club traditions for it to only backfire.
Being able to unquestionably control the narrative of where our list profile is at.

We are the smallest team in the smallest market. Nobody cares about us so the media don't care and have no desire to make a story out of anything to do with us. That's why there's never any pressure.

It's true, you look at the other clubs.

Sack the coach - Carlton
Under media pressure constantly - Collingwood
Why are they so inconsistent - Essendon
Is the dynasty over - Richmond
They're so consistent - Geelong
They're so long suffering - St Kilda
They should never have been a team - Gold Coast

We're not interesting to the media except where a prison bars article can mention Collingwood.

White anting club favourites on the way to forcing them out and having a disappointing amount of fans and media eat it up, Ken knows what he is doing, they were bad influences and held the group back, etc.

Clearly he just made up everything in that analysis.
Yeah, it's like the article isn't written for us. It's written for the Victorians with NFI who will trundle into our threads and be like "you are being harsh on hinkley"

When exactly will Ken be the king of losers? i.e. on which round he hits the lead as most games coached at one club without a GF?
It's a tough crown and someone has to wear it

I thought it was round 11? Maybe 10?
I checked. This is for most games coached at one club with no GF appearances. Currently B Scott (NM) with 203, Hinks on 192. So round 13 vs Richmond he'll reach 204. We have the bye on round 12.

lol, two time AFLCA Coach of the Year and soon to be holder of the record for the most games coached without making a Grand Final.

Meanwhile Alastair Clarkson, zero AFLCA Coach of the Year awards, four times Premiership Coach.
