Is that legit? ****ing awesome if so

12 of the 18 clubs have changed coaches since 2017. The 6 that haven't ...

Richmond - Damien Hardwick (12 seasons, 3 premierships, 3 grand finals, 7 finals series)

Sydney - John Longmire (11 seasons, 1 premiership, 3 grand finals, 9 finals series)

Geelong - Chris Scott (11 seasons, 1 premiership, 2 grand finals, 10 finals series)

West Coast - Adam Simpson (8 seasons, 1 premiership, 1 grand finals, 6 finals series)

Western Bulldogs - Luke Beveridge (7 seasons, 1 premiership, 2 grand finals, 5 finals series)

And ...

Port Adelaide - Ken Hinkley (9 seasons, 0 premierships, 0 grand finals, 5 finals series)

EF Finals lost shouldn’t count. So, it would be:

Richmond - Damien Hardwick (12 seasons, 3 premierships, 3 grand finals, 4 finals series - 33.3%)

Sydney - John Longmire (11 seasons, 1 premiership, 3 grand finals, 7 finals series - 63.6%)

Geelong - Chris Scott (11 seasons, 1 premiership, 2 grand finals, 8 finals series - 72.7%)

West Coast - Adam Simpson (8 seasons, 1 premiership, 1 grand finals, 6 finals series - 50.0%)

Western Bulldogs - Luke Beveridge (7 seasons, 1 premiership, 2 grand finals, 2 finals series - 28.6%)

Port Adelaide - Ken Hinkley (9 seasons, 0 premierships, 0 grand finals, 4 finals series - 44.4%)

Very good but aren’t final series just sugar hits anyway?
All that should matter is premierships and grand final appearances

EF losses aren’t even that.

Hinkley better than Hardwick confirmed.

As part of a wider defence of David Noble on 360 last night, David King made the point that coaches rarely survive rebuild phases, and that when you’re right down the bottom and acquiring premium pieces through the draft, you shouldn’t be judged on wins.

“Go on, name them. Clarkson at Hawthorn? Hardwick at Richmond? Hinkley at Port Adelaide? There are very few examples.”

Ah yes, the Hinkley ‘rebuild’ of inheriting a team brimming with first round talent in the sweet spot for age/experience to seriously contend for the next 5-6 years.

Knew Cameron was gone a couple of weeks ago when there were rumours saying that the CEO had lost faith in him. Thankfully here at Port we have Koch and a board full of footy diehards like Holly Ransom so Ken is safe for the next two seasons. Even the Ken-Oath facebook page is back :drunk:
Holly: Look Kenny I've designed a commerative emoji for you taking the record for the most VFL/AFL games coached without making a Grand Final.
Hinkley: That's great Holly, youse do a lot of grouse things for this footy club.
Hinkley: Hey Jordie, do youse know what an emoji is?

Interesting take on it, Hinkley might suit GWS…..

those 5 losses are very much like everything Port Adelaide nearly in our whole AFL existence.

just a giant tease, a tease that good things are on the horizon. just as it seems these good things are approaching we do the absolute opposite of what is supposed to happen to achieve these things.

YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KEEP LOSING.
