AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
The sheer unprofessionalism of the coach and GM owning a Greyhound in a syndicate with a random group of senior players... This is really kinda hilarious
Hey, it’s only a massive red flag for numerous reasons, but eh.
Widdle Cwub gon’ Widdle Cwub.
I really have to wonder about the club's board thinking those 'investments' are okay. Are they paying the attention necessary?
Imagine Gil being part owner in a racehorse with certain Vic presidents and fathead Ed and the like....
I mean he probably is..
Ambassador Cornes and 5AA searching for relevance in the 21st Century.
I thought there were rules about players/staff engaging in gambling or does that only cover betting on AFL?
Man - if Clarko comes in as our new coach (please!!!!!!), the club won't know what hit it. He'll change the place overnight. The sheer unprofessionalism of the coach and GM owning a Greyhound in a syndicate with a random group of senior players... This is really kinda hilarious
I'm still astounded by this. Where are our standards?
That we have allowed people with the power to hire and fire and negotiate contracts to be in separate commercial relationships with their subordinates is just jaw-droppingly bad judgment.
Do these look like the kind of gentlemen who display sound business acumen and judgement?
I'm pretty sure this was us winning a regular season game against the lowly Crows lol
I'm certain it all makes good morning TV.I'm still astounded by this. Where are our standards?

I don't understand where people get the idea that Koch is some kind of high flying big business guru. He's a financial journalist that runs a small financial news based media business and hosts a morning TV show.No. But the board and broader administration should.
The tolerance for apparant conflicts of interest like this and apparent nepotism elsewhere in the club are the kind of things I am talking about when I criticise Koch for having a small-business mentality.
No current season stats available

So you think every club's head coach and GM are in commercial partnerships - not only between themselves but with a select group of the playing group? As bad as it is, it shouldn't come as a surprise. Everye club would have the same conflicts of interest. Sport is only professional in that everyone makes a lot of money.
Far too much matey shit going on with KennyCokeCansEven Matthew Primus knew he needed to draw a dividing line between himself and the players, to the point where his friendship with Chad Cornes all but came to an end.
Ken is burrowed in like a tick.
He just thumbs hardery for longery.I wonder if ken asks for a personal apology from the dog if it doesn't win a race?
