Apparently Tom Jonas has publicly stated he doesn't want to play under another coach, but assuming he was quoted correctly the comment was probably as much about self preservation than anything else, as under a new coach he may struggle to retain the captaincy or even be seen as best 22, particularly on fast decks against teams that like to move the ball quickly.

In hindsight this is disgusting. Makes it clear that ken artificially inflated his value by pretending he was going to the gold coast.

Hanging onto Ken for next year probably means your open to giving him another contract and I just don’t see them wanting to do that, people like Darren Cahill who’ve been involved at international would know when people should move on wouldn’t they?
