It will turn quickly once Hinkley is turfed. We have great youth.

I think so too. A new coach with new assistants will turn it around. The list is good as is our young talent. Draft a couple quality young talls in the next draft. Try hard to bring in a quality free agent or two as well.

I would hope at the moment that quietly in the background the club is working towards hiring a new coach at the end of the year. The process should've started by now.

Why would drafting young talls be associated with turning it around quickly? They typically take years to develop. Players like the King brothers are exceptions because they are generational talents.

They're still shit, most of their youth isn't actually good. We have a miles better list but unfortunately we're coached by a man with a toddler level IQ
Ken thinks that Yoko Ono is Japanese for One Egg Please.

What's the deal with not wanting Monty? Surely that isn't true (I'm hopeful it's just Chad feeding bullshit out to Kane), why do we bother with assistants if we don't think they are good anyway?

What’s the deal with wanting Monty? Surely we are aiming much higher than that. If our next senior coach is an appointment from within I’m done.

I'm talking about the suggestion that we aren't even keen on him caretaking. I can't see any issues with letting him take the caretaker role while Hinkley cages his cheque out at the dog track.

I agree I'd be looking outside for the candidates though. I'm keen on breaking as many connections to this regime as possible.

The drafting of the young talls wouldnt be associated with a quick turnaround. It's just something we need to do as well.

The established senior players plus the young talent on the list already that will have played 15 to 70 games by the end of this year should, in the right hands, be able to get us contending for finals again.

You don't even have to take in to account anything from the past, he should be sacked immediately for the fitness levels we have at the moment.

Both the AFL and SANFL teams look massively below what is required and so far the games have shown that to be true.

Letting guys stay at home and train by themselves (such a warm, feel good vibe), not replacing key fitness personel but going the easy option of promoting from within.

We are by far the softest Club going around right now and all these soft, connecting, feel good vibes have bred an environment of people that are delusional.

Insular frauds

As Ken so fondly and frequently used to say "you get what you deserve", and boy, aren't we getting that now.

Yep. South Adelaide overran us. Let that sink in.

yep, we've come full circle to the bare bones footy department Ken & Koch saved us from.

With Gold Coast, West Coast and Essendon all winning, and North Melbourne pushing the Swans at the SCG to their limit, there’s only ONE coach the media can target this week.
"Look calls for Ken Hinkley to be sacked are ridiculous. We all need to remember that he saved that club. They were about to completely fold and their buildings disintegrate and he singlehandedly brick by brick built them back up. He has earned the right to be given at least one more extension to make sure he can turn this all around and get this club back from being the worst team in the league to their rightful position as a mediocre club that can't beat good teams. I think he's capable of it and those lousy Port fans need to stop being so ungrateful and be thankful of where they are. They should be happy they've ever won a game."

Blah blah blah

Port Adelaide’s coaching methods have been called into question, with fears Thursday night’s tactics against Melbourne could have a long-lasting effect on how the players view their side’s premiership credentials.

The Power were held to their first-ever goalless first half in Thursday’s loss to the Dees and played a markedly different, more conservative brand of football in a bid to hold the reigning premiers at bay.

Speaking on Fox Footy’s First Crack, former Hawthorn and Melbourne gun Jordan Lewis said the Power’s tactical approach was a poor one given what it implied.

hey ken, how are we gonna go in the first 5 rounds of the season?

We've been playing slow movement, defensive footy for 7 or 8 years now.

Does Lewis watch ANY of our games?

Last time we were an aggressive, free wheeling team was 2014, aside from the occasional one game per season against a minnow side.

The footage really shows why our forwards are having such a tough time of it. I refuse to believe that the forwards coach has been doing anything other than kiss Hinkley's backside because there is nothing that suggests a plan or coaching when we're going forward.
