"I’m quite happy to say that my contract has clauses in it ... if you don’t perform, you don’t deserve to get those add-ons of a contract,” Hinkley told SEN radio.

"From my point of view, I’m more than comfortable and accept the responsibility of performance.

"At the time when I signed the contract, if I don’t perform and as a club we don’t perform that well, it’s probably that time (to leave).

Unbelievable.

This was obviously a lie as he negotiated it all out as soon as he could.

Club goes to coach with a 2 year contract worth $800k per season, which includes a 50% payout clause in the last year. Maximum contract value - $1.6m ($800k + $800k). Minimum contract value - $1.2m ($800k + $400k).

Club is struggling financially because of COVID. Asks coach whether he is willing to settle for less money ($600k) in lieu of getting rid of the 50% payout clause. Maximum/Minimum contract value - $1.2m ($600k + $600k).

The club has already banked the 50% discount in the final year.

Literally everything that comes out of 'honest Ken's' mouth is a bold-faced lie.

I think we have to reassess our alligences, as members we have no say and feel disconnected from the club.

I never thought I would say this but for some if you want to feel like a valued member and connected to a club, change of club may be the only way.
For me I will slowly pull back from the sport altogether, it's not about the fans any more, it's about money and people's ego's.

Listening to Roo and Ditts this morning and they played part of Hinkley's press conference. Ken talking about how the last four weeks have been difficult because Port were playing against teams that were "cream of the crop".

Roo then talks about how strong Richmond has been, how Collingwood was on a winning streak and Melbourne/Geelong being top teams.

Ken safe for another week.

The way this Hinkley saga has played out is all the proof I need, to show that members are just calatoral damage and natural attrition of the true Supporters is what they want, so the new age Happy Clappers can fill the void.
One thing I will say, the club better not fall on hard times like 2011-12 because the new age Happy Clappers won't sit with the tarps.

We exist to get close to the top teams.....

I could never support another club but I realise now I have to ween myself off of footy slower than I would like. Bigfooty is the last thing I really look at out of habit. It's hard to stay away at the moment. I think it's mostly cause it is a good place to vent with like minded people who understand the situation.

s*t club has been rolling this line out for 4 ****** seasons.

Lines like this are what anger the fans so much. We don't have access to the inner sanctum, so apparently that automatically equates to us knowing nothing. Well what we do know is that this has been another wasted season, and we'll be watching the finals on TV.

At most clubs, there's accountability for poor performance - not at Alberton. Oh, except if you don't agree with Ken: then your tenure at the club is rather short.

So we should split the competition into two divisions, and we'd win div 2 every season. Yeah that's what I signed up for. Sheesh.

"It's hard being a little battler club against the best teams" .. well perhaps we'd better adjust everyone's salaries to reflect our minnow status.

As said by others and by me a few times. He is still an outside chance to walk.
He knows he is hated, he hate the pressure from the media and from us. His family hates the scrutiny and the pressure, all of it.
Know more then ever, we need to pile on and make it toxic for him to stay. We can break him and pressure him into walking.
All the more reason to up the ante at the Showdown - if 1 sign on Port Road got the reaction it did, then 1000 (or more) signs on Saturday night will more than likely cause his head to explode.

the first minute of Kens presser says it all. Talks up what a great performance we had, yet in a roundabout way (i.e., Ken's moronic speaking skills) concedes we were not good enough against the sides the prior 4 weeks (i.e. we beat up on junk, and cant beat the best). Fairly symbolic of Kenny's reign.

We've got a long way to go to beat anyone that is any good (as in, teams in like 8th on the ladder) but we did finish 1st and 2nd the last 2 years and were talking about winning the premiership pre season and are supposed to be in an era of unparalleled success. Confusing messaging from Daddy Donuts.

It's quite literally his whole tenure wrapped up in a nutshell.

And then he talked about how he's going to take ownership of that and fix it in the pre-season.

.. oh wait, that must have been in my dream :(.
