The more you hear and read about Hinkley the more ridiculous the 'Kenny's a good bloke!' thing looks.

The more it makes me question that most within our club, especially players, are 'good blokes' themselves.

As a neutral, I'm still baffled at how Chris Scott copped heat after his side got smacked in the prelim last year while Ken Hinkley avoided any heat after his side got smacked in the prelim.

In fact, I'm unsure as to why Chris Scott has copped far more heat than Ken Hinkley over the course of their coaching careers. I've always thought it was because Ken Hinkley is a thin skinned narcissist who happens to be a card carrying member of the AFL boys club, but then I remembered that Chris Scott also happens to be a thin skinned narcissist who happens to be a card carrying member of the AFL boys club.

How does Ken Hinkley still have a job and how does he escape media scrutiny?

I think he's been employed and dismissed from so many clubs he has many colleagues and "friends" in the industry they are more than happy to help keep Hinkley in another state.

I've got a 7.5k bet on us making the GF next year. That's how confident I am in the boys responding to Ken being under fire. The boys are lion-hearted when it comes to their coach. And in return, the coach is a lion heart himself.

I'm a better chance of knuckling down, getting drafted to Norf, and making than the grand final, than a team coached by Ken.

Money can't buy brains.

Every unhappy Port fan even if they intend to renew needs to come off auto-renewal right now with the threat of cancellation. Every single one. That message needs to be spread far and wide.. I think it needs to be Port fans if you care make the threat.

The club needs to have the threat of the that large sum of money being potentially somewhat smaller.

Don't think it will change things we have to large a base of happy clapping theatre goers now (maybe it will become their club?) but will give them a hell of a scare and give them an idea of the unhappiness.

Went to the club today to cancel. Lovely people said was it because of the clubs decision?. I said not just that it's game plan, it's not standing up when we need to its not being listened to its announcing something like that for ratings etc.and yes I know that feedback will probably go nowhere.

I am on auto renewal and they said last payment had come out so after a to and fro decided that I will let a couple of weeks play out before I make the physical cancellation but I cannot and will not attend next year unless significant change has occured.

Took one last long look at the oval from the new deck.....Sigh...

Decided I might possibly attend the last game with and for my boys and will look to attend the after match (can almost guarantee that no one with any position of power will be present the weak ...) although last time I was present as happy clappers celebrated medocrity I sort of made my feelings known loudly to them and the team so maybe that is not a good idea as I am fair bit angrier now. So may give the game a miss not sure.

The club needs change and ultimately it may be the white noise that delivers it just like the co captaincy.

What's the quote along the lines of not doubting that a small group of committed people can change the world.... Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.

He knows a number of the board want him gone.
He hates the pressure he's under, his family don't like it.
With enough continued pressure, might be to much and he may decide its just time to go.

Just listened to Dixon's interview on 5AA and wow, that's someone who doesn't even sound remotely disappointed not to be playing finals let alone contending for a flag this year.

The players all seem more interested in their personal hobbies and sticking up for Hinkley than they do getting the most out of their footballing careers by winning premierships.

Everyone who has allowed this insipid culture to fester inside out football club can get the * out and never come back.

That's exactly right. The players don't have the desire to make the necessary sacrifices to win a premiership. Ken has enabled this mindset.

The next season trash is already circulating

- Orazio can attack a full preseason..

- Charlie (the key to all our sUcCeSs) Dixon will play the full year

- Robbie can go another year

- Lycett will be back

etc. etc. etc. although yes I do believe Kenny will go to the well with everything that has failed as usual.
