If what they say about clarko is true in that he likes to have full control of the footy department, well he's not going to get that at essendon. The big powerful clubs won't allow that....too many powerful benefactors involved.
A club like North will allow it though just like Hawthorn did when they were struggling in early 2000's.

It'll be amazing if all talk no action Koch ultimately gets rid of Hinkley by accident because he publicly announced he was refusing to do anything. That took the pressure off against a pleb team Port then smashed. Making them steal Clarkson from North just as he's about to pickup his signing pen, who 'poach' Hinkley from Port, giving them the out they desperately wanted.
