To Koch,kt,Richardson and hinkley and the long term board members I will never forgive you for you're crimes to Port Adelaide.

What an embarrassing 21st century for this club , we got 04 (injuries didn't help) but geez we even made hof riddled team have pure horror big games.

If Scott came to port in 2011 he most likely would had been sacked in his first couple of years. Primus had no support no senior assistant, crap facilities etc. Even Scott wouldn’t had survived in that environment
I'm not sure about that Scott is a strong personality type I think it's likely he'd have had slightly better results than Primus in the shit sandwich era & got through to the move to AO.. we'll never know.

I received an email from the club during the week about my membership auto renewal. When I indicated that I wanted to cancel the auto renewal, I was asked the reason for my decision, so I replied, "It's time to change the senior coach, and I won't be renewing until it happens."

Did you finish it off with a dad joke?

I sent an email a couple of months ago. I forwarded an e-mail that I had sent to KT 2 years ago telling him certain things and to remove me from the Premiership fund as I had been paying $10/win since it's inception. I had noticed they were still taking the money so I asked for a refund and to remove me from auto renewal until Ken is gone. I was refunded for each win from the date of the email.

It might seem petty but I see it as money out of my pocket into Ken's.

You mean stuff like, "What's the difference between a Ken Hinkley premiership and the Loch Ness monster? Some people reckon they've seen the Loch Ness monster." :)

2021 prelims. Cat's and Port get smashed, one of those teams believe it was a poor effort and respond the following year, the other believes they are on the right track and stability and Ken ducking Hinkley is the way to go.

Ken's position was pretty much untenable at half time of last year's prelim given the circumstances.

2 years (and possibly more) for what? At this point his position is basically the easiest job to hang onto in the country.

I think to carry on like we've been crap for 10 years is dumb. We've had at least 2 if not 3 legitimate years where we could / should have made the GF. The problem has always been that Hinkley relies heavily on individual brilliance and self motivation. We don't have a great system. When he first came.to the club he could inspire the players and hence we saw some turn around. We've made some.good list management decisions during that time and he's had a team that can motor itself along to a prelim. The problem is that when that spark isn't there, we dont have a successful system to fall back on. He'll be able to spark some motivation or get the players to respond at some point but it's often too little, too late. He came to the club as a great motivator and that was his claim to fame. His tactical nouse has never been anything worth talking about. The well has run dry. I think people in the media only see the wins and don't appreciate just how much of that is on the back of the individual.

Don't judge Hinkley on finals. Playing finals is overrated.

Judge him on being the winningest home and away coach.

I just want a coach who genuinely finds losing unacceptable
On this again, when Hinkley first arrived that was the talk. He hated losing. He hated losing more than he liked winning.

That always struck me as loser talk to the extreme. If the motivation is to not lose, you've already lost I reckon.

You have to want to win, to be a winner. To be the best.

Both teams knew they had given their all but had one hand tied behind their back by their coach.

Once coach vowed to change and the team followed.

One coach vowed not to (again) and the team lost the fire in their belly.

One playing list was protected by sycophants in the media withholding the blowtorch out of fear some of it would hit the coach. Instead it was all, ah well, they had an off night, what about them Bulldogs aye!

The other went under the microscope after another failure to make a grand final from a prelim.
