It's a Hinkley thing, not an AFL coaches' thing.Hinkley has been at every retirement presser I can remember, it feels a bit set in stone with him.
Has a Daddy Donuts is Port Adelaide vibe & sends them all off on their way.
if waiting 10 years for a coach to at least reach a grand final is impatient what is sacking a coach in year 2 of a 3 year contract calledYou're correct, we as a fan base have been extremely impatient. Lets give him another 10 years to figure his s**t out then hey?
I can agree, he wasnt a bad coach in 2014.In year two, Hinkley was coaching a prelim final against Hawthorn with the likes of Jake Neade, Andrew Moore and Cam O'Shea in his best 22. It's also clear that Hinkley hasn't lost the players this year like Rutten has. The only agitation for change is coming from impatient fans who, let's face it, if we had played Sam Hayes for every game would be complaining that not playing Georgiades was the reason why we didn't make finals this year.
The situations are not even remotely the same.
Hopefully they'll know the truth on Saturday night when they watch the Showdown. How are the "national" media so blind to supporter sentiment. I mean even half assed media outlets cruise social media for stories, surely they'd have to see 600 pages of sack Hinkley and get a clue

The thing is players and coaches don't pay the bills, supporters and sponsors are a massive chunk of the clubs income, so may be it would be a good idea to hear what they think, it's a lot easier to take that support away than give it.It doesn't matter if Hinkley & the players are 'unbelievably connected' at some point you have to make the call that it's got you nowhere & the product is ugly. There's 10 years of evidence here.
Rutten is a different situation if he's out of his depth it's the right call.
We had the fastest, hardest running team in the comp which had nothing to do with him. Once Burgess and some of those quicker players left we weren't making finals.I can agree, he wasnt a bad coach in 2014.
Its 2022.

I already made my position on what I expect from Ken for the remainder of this year clear.Janus occasionally sees the light like turning on Hinkley briefly & threatening to bash me in a matchday thread.. I like that Janus.
Cool, and where does a few people wanting a coach sacked rank amongst those issues? I'm sure you can leverage the current long term critical global issue of sports fan rights to force a club to sack a coach you don't like, and it totally won't end up like the millions of other petitions that achieve absolutely nothing
Maybe if someone had created a petition to stop the war in Ukraine it would be over by now
So 10 years of failure is all good, because he didn’t drop Burgoyne?I already made my position on what I expect from Ken for the remainder of this year clear.
If he drops Burgoyne, he's dead to me.
Lol oh that’s a bridge too far is it, you make zero senseI already made my position on what I expect from Ken for the remainder of this year clear.

Yeah they aren’t mutually exclusive, you can support a club great while simultaneously criticising the club without imploding lol
