So if Norf miss out on Clarko and decide to go after Hinks, does that make him the last man standing, again?
My philosophy has always been 'If you're not winning a flag, you need to be building your list so it can win a flag'. You wanna live in the past, I live in the future. So 10 years of failure is all good, because he didn’t drop Burgoyne?
I bet Clarko is just looking at what Essendon has to offer.
I think he will still end up at North, difference it it's a small club, Marvel stadium, compare that to a big club with big epic games at the G. Ego versus doing the nice thing by going to North?
If he ends up at North can't wait to see the draw next year and beyond.
I live in the future.
They both play at fairly sparse Marvel stadium. Essendon get the ANZAC day game though.
You wanna live in the past, I live in the future.
It's probably because Hinkley, much to the chagrin of this forum, has made three prelim finals, won two qualifying finals, won two elimination finals and won one semi final in his tenure as coach with Port
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHINGWOW!
HE HAS?!
The Geelong hand baggers stick together.Malcom must be talking about a different Ken Hinkley to the one who tried to defect to GC a few years ago I guess?
That head triggers me something shocking.
'Impatient fans' lol.In year two, Hinkley was coaching a prelim final against Hawthorn with the likes of Jake Neade, Andrew Moore and Cam O'Shea in his best 22. It's also clear that Hinkley hasn't lost the players this year like Rutten has. The only agitation for change is coming from impatient fans who, let's face it, if we had played Sam Hayes for every game would be complaining that not playing Georgiades was the reason why we didn't make finals this year.
The situations are not even remotely the same.
Also he did drop Burgoyne a few weeks ago. Lol.So 10 years of failure is all good, because he didn’t drop Burgoyne?
It's probably because Hinkley, much to the chagrin of this forum, has made three prelim finals, won two qualifying finals, won two elimination finals and won one semi final in his tenure as coach with Port whereas Rutten has made one final and lost it as coach with Essendon. I'd also say that the media is aware that Hinkley has been dealt a bad hand with injuries etc during the seasons where things have gone pear shaped.
Essendon doesn't have that issue. Their problem is purely mental.
This is very contradictory because Hinkley is extremely likely to drop young players (while of course famously it doesn't apply to some players).I already made my position on what I expect from Ken for the remainder of this year clear.
If he drops Burgoyne, he's dead to me.
Who needs premierships when you can have a pair of home qualifying final wins as entrees to a pair of home preliminary final chokes and a couple of elimination final wins nearly a decade ago thrown in for good measure?
