And it's about 2000 memberships. Not including the extra revenue that an engaged member gets you on top of their membership by attending games.

It's a drop in the ocean to re-energise the club, and would almost certainly lead to a better financial result.

The good clubs (Geelong, Sydney spring to mind) play players once they are needed in a role. I.e if you have one fit ruck left on your list, they play in the ruck.
