I do laugh a little bit when Crows supporters speak about our club.

"Oh there a rabble down there"
"They should focus on footy and not on the guernsey and heritage"

This is coming from a club which has won something 19 of their last 67 games.

You're club is not just a rabble but irrelevant.

Keep out of our business.
If they are willing to criticise us right now, don't stop them. The more the merrier..

This morning Koch on FiveAA
“Ken is the coach of the football club for this year and it’s round 3 for goodness sake,” Koch told FIVEaa.

“We always respect the views of our past legends.

“Tredders has a view, (Power premiership teammate) Kane Cornes has exactly the opposite view and … has come out quite critically against Tredders, (commentator) Gerard Whateley, even (former Crows captain) Mark Bickley has said they were just stupid comments.

“I think the massive opinion of everybody to the comments of Warren are that you are crazy to make any judgments after three rounds.

“Warren is a highly respected legend of the club but there’s lots of other highly respected legends of the club that support what the club is doing and totally disagree with Warren.”

Koch said losing a Showdown, particularly in its traditional prison-bar guernsey, was disappointing but it was early in a very long campaign.

Ken and the team need to get on with the job and need time to breathe, and get into the season,” he said.

“We all knew we had one of the toughest opening five, six rounds.

“I expect the team to respond accordingly on Saturday night against the Swans at the SCG.”

Its clear as day Koch needs to be removed as well from the top post!
You can just tell the expectations that have been set.

Get through the last 5-6 rounds close to even win loss. Then beat up on the shit teams to scrape into finals.

We also know how it turns out. Even if you manage to get a few wins in the first few rounds, suddenly you drop one unexpectedly against a lower ranked team that ruins your finals chances and it gets written off as "one bad week".

I'd feel like the biggest loser serving out a year when everyone wants me gone and it's inevitable your times up. Just walk loser.

Ken is that dumb old boomer in the office who's retiring in a year, but stuck around just to top up their super, knowing they aren't gonna contribute SFA, and everyone else has to work harder to make up for it. But they're grinning anyway even though everyone hates their guts.

Hopefully if the players turn their toes up and let it get out of hand on the weekend (highly likely in my opinion) will be looking for the “he’s lost the players” narrative to start.

Imagine pushing the idea that reaching the 2021 preliminary final was a success.
That's a bit like arguing Flight MH -370 was a successful flight because it got off the ground.
Or the Redbacks had a successful season because they finished inside the top 6.

Even if you want to include prelims as a 'success measure', noting Premierships take precedent, we are still glaringly fcuking mediocre for Twinkle Fingers reign:

Lol this is actually success for this club now. And we are the only team that has made 3 prelims without making it to the GF too.

Now let's compare our last 11 seasons versus our first 11 seasons. I haven't fact checked this but didn't we win more games than any other club in our first 11 seasons 1997-2007? which included 7 finals appearances (versus 5), 4 prelims (versus 3), 2 GF's (versus 0), and 1 premiership ( versus 0). Admittedly, we underachieved in those 7 finals appearances 1997-2007 that probably should've included at least one more GF/Flag. But it is ridiculously better than our last 11 seasons and is proof that at one point we actually were a powerful club in this competition, it wasn't just the SANFL, we actually bossed our first 11 years in the AFL looking back with hindsight.

Now we are expected to be chuffed with being 10th on the prelim ladder.

It's OK guys.

Rucci says that the club got a report on Ken's coaching from the 10 days between our 2 woeful pre season losses and our one good quarter against Brisbane and it showed that Ken is an excellent coach.

Don't worry about the 10 previous years.

He had a good week in pre season once!

The coaches coach hard at work I see

Lol why is everyone getting worked up with the players backing the coach? Are we seriously expecting them to bag him???
I'm not talking about their backing of Ken, it's that they all say the same thing as if they can't think for themselves or they're not allowed to. As I said it's like a sect, so weird

Yeah agreed but as a organisation and player development they're ahead of us.
I'll go further and say that every single one of the other 17 clubs are ahead of us, in terms of identifying mediocrity, and more importantly, doing something about it. We're a mere squashed bug on the AFL's windscreen.

I cannot believe Koch, how f'ing delusional is he saying Mark Bickley agrees with their stance. WTF cares what Mark Bickley has to say. Cannot think of another president that would put up the opinion of an opposition club 'has been' to consolidate his views. Mind blowing to me.

Port Adelaide vice-captain Ollie Wines has leapt to the defence of senior coach Ken Hinkley, saying it is unfair that he is already having to deal with speculation around his job just three games into the season.
Wines also says the players should be the ones copping it rather than Hinkley, and a 1-2 start to the season would have been expected by many when it comes to the Power.
After the Power lost to fierce rivals Adelaide in the Showdown by 31 points on Saturday night Port Adelaide’s only AFL premiership captain Warren Tredrea said Hinkley’s position at the club was “untenable”.
Hinkley is out of contract at the end of the season and he and the club have agreed to put off talks around his future until August.
