It’s my opinion that Koch represents the AFLs wishes more than he does PAFCs needs.

When someone says that the AFL is running the club, Koch is part of that.
Gold Coast, GWS. St Kilda and Norf can all sack their coaches in season/in contract but somehow Port can't? It defies all logic.

Most here think I'm way too harsh on Boak but he is the epitome of the Hinkley era soft Underbelly not getting it done when it matters.
I agree with you. He has been a great servant but he along with Wines have let us down time and time again when we need them most. Not ruthless at all. We are to ****ing nice.

As a player, if you're getting 65 inside 50s for the game and you're told post match by the coach that you need to work harder for the gameplan to work I'd tell you to GAGF.
Our game plan is basically like a chimpanzee randomly flinging shit in a zoo and hoping one of them hits the annoying kid with the ice cream.

If it doesn't work, fling more shit or hope a fatter kid comes by.

There would be a nice bit of Kornes schadenfreude if Kingsley ends Ken's career with a GWS win after Kanes "if you can only get Kingsley you should keep Ken" bullshit

Might even bring a smile to Matty Primus’s face.

Its conceivable we dont win another game

16 years since we last beat Geelong
GWS the form team of the comp
Freo away has rarely been a happy place for us
Richmond the 2nd form team of the comp, potentially playing to get in the 8

Has a team won 13 then lost 7 in a row?
That would be so Hinkley if we did that.
Only thing worse is if the club extend his contract again and I suspect they already have.

He lacks the ability to rationalise.

I saw a clip earlier in the year where he was getting stuck into Bevo, and one of his showmates injected with “he won them a premiership”, and Kane said something like, “how long can you hold that up”.

Like, what?

From the same guy who parrots “2012” whenever Ken is looking vulnerable?

Rozee talking about how Boak has taught him to separate football from life... enormous red flag.

Football isn't life, but it should be a big part of your life! **** knows it is for us. It should NEVER be separate to 'life', you shouldn't be some robot that clocks on and off. Otherwise, clock off permanently. Cya.

Boak is a huge reason for our cultural piss blasting and I wish he went to Geelong, there I said it.

Boak’s documentary where he said he “doesn’t want to be defined as a footballer” was a red king-sized doona.

Like, I get what he means, but ‘being a footballer’ is why you’re able to do all these great things you enjoy and broaden your horizons as a person, rather than work a 9-to-5 job commuting to and from sleepy hollow.

I think it's hard to argue that Boak hasn't got the best out of himself as a footballer and for a very long time too. So whatever he's doing is working on an individual level.

The question I guess is what this type of attitude does if applied more broadly across a playing group.

Its astonishing really....but other than Tredders I can't remember a time when any media personality has actually gone after Ken?

They might come out and say if things get too bad "has ken been there too long" but it always gets brushed aside with lack of depth or players letting him down or an off night.

Tredders has to do it again, highlight all the failures and the length of tenure. All daddys media darlings can scoff and take aim a Waz but ultimately Ken will prove him right.

Sorry to intrude, in vicco media David King has given him a mild whack a few times but unfortunately hes on the same radio show as Whateley so it never gets too full on. Pretty clear King doesn't rate him though.

Boak is again unfortunately just a lead cultist of Ken. Any other coach could've turned him in to a ruthless champion and leader. Not a consistent workhorse who falters in big moments.

He hasn't gotten the best out of himself mentally + skills. Physically, he is elite and an example of what dedication to your body can do with professional proactive preparation. But his other weaknesses are glaring.

Entirely agree, we have a few like Boak. Most good footballers main passion is playing footy, some others like Dixon use football as a means to fund their real passion.
