So I heard Hinkley talked Carr into withdrawing from the Richmond job. If that's true, surely there's some sort of succession on the sly?
Nah, it just means he's completely at sea without him.

Very true, the books have been cooked to show a record membership.I emailed the membership department this basically. 2 more years of not needing 3 memberships, thanks. They wont care though.
2023 marks the 50th year I have been a supporter of PAFC.
Today it ends. It was fun while it lasted.
Goodbye
He makes a gf this year or heads should roll.
Clear out from top to bottom.
I believe Carr is in no rush , I doubt he would leave Adelaide anyway as his family is very settled with the kids and all.No way Carr sits on his hands for two years, surely? What's he going to learn from Hinkley in that time anyway?
Let's put it another way, maybe the idea that Carr could one day be Port's coach, i'm sure Hinkley would say anything to ease into another contract. There’s quite obviously a succession plan in place. No way on earth would J Carr turn down the Richmond gig otherwise.
Also saying you’ll be indifferent if PA make the GF is a weird take.
I believe the assistants have made Ken’s role more palatable and it plays to his strengths. People writing us off already clearly haven’t watched the team I’ve been watching all year. We can absolutely win a flag in the next 3 years and that’s exciting.
Get over yourselves.
We literally signed up Daddy DaycareIt’s funny isn’t it.
Dimma gets photos holding up multiple cups,
We get photos of Kenny embracing players after select minor round games.
When you set your bar so low, you never fail. It's funny how success is a slow moving inremental thing withi this mob. 11 years in anything short of holding up the cup should be considered a failure.
44% make finals,it's really not an accomplishment, especially one that should get a contract extensionAfter 13 wins in a row the decision was hardly likely to be any different. Given David Koch's thinking if we made the finals Ken was always likely to get an extension the only question was did this contract extension rely on Port winning a final or two? Obviously the answer is no. Not the result most of us wanted but we simply have to roll with it and hope there is a succession plan in place.
Regardless as to what we think Ken is a 'player's man' and hopefully this inspires the players to perform. I do not mind if they do it for Ken just as long as they do the business.
I spent most of my career being measured quarter by quarter. This club just beggars belief.Imagine holding any other job for 11 years without meeting expectations. You'd have been sacked in half the time.
And if the Crows fire Nicks after a poorer than expected start to next season?I believe Carr is in no rush , I doubt he would leave Adelaide anyway as his family is very settled with the kids and all.
Exactly, good post.44% make finals,it's really not an accomplishment, especially one that should get a contract extension

They wont have too, they will surpass Hinkley's heros next season. And if the Crows fire Nicks after a poorer than expected start to next season?
I can't believe he decided to stay just to make Ken's life easy.Nah, it just means he's completely at sea without him.
I would have a better chance of winning Mr Universe than Carr coaching the Crows. And if the Crows fire Nicks after a poorer than expected start to next season?
