I think hes just a dickhead that loves Ken Hinkley for some reason, who knows maybe they're tied up in something together......
His contract was expiring, we stood nothing to lose by just letting him go.

You just know Koch said something along the lines of,

“We’ll look like bloody d¡ckheads if we let him go after winning 13-in-a-row”, and that was that.

Only the superficially positive results count towards the “keep him” ledger.

The mountain range of soul destroying failures, chokes and humiliations are filed under “that’s footy”.

There’s quite obviously a succession plan in place. No way on earth would J Carr turn down the Richmond gig otherwise.

Also saying you’ll be indifferent if PA make the GF is a weird take.

I believe the assistants have made Ken’s role more palatable and it plays to his strengths. People writing us off already clearly haven’t watched the team I’ve been watching all year. We can absolutely win a flag in the next 3 years and that’s exciting.

Get over yourselves.
We have only watched 10 years under ken,I'm sure you are correct

Would you take ken as a senior coach? Honest question. Every supporter base in the league would not want his stench around
If Mitchell spontaneously combusted tomorrow and Ken was available absolutely!
I think most supporters of other teams would.

Obviously I haven't followed his career as closely as you guys but it seems from the outside that he has made some very good calls and no real screw ups.

The players love him, he trades and drafts well and his gameday tactics have him with the third best win/loss ratio in the game (Better than Clarkson btw).

Hence my bewilderment at this thread

Ultimately he's the longest serving coach to not atleast make a Grand final .. in history.

Apart from this the way we lose is no different to 10 years ago.

You don't watch us close enough. GameDay he's made endless shit calls after the next.

Surely there is still a glimmer of hope.

Also, the 6 month clause must well and truly be in this deal. Right?

No way Carr sits on his hands for two years, surely? What's he going to learn from Hinkley in that time anyway?
Stinks of a club too weak to make a hard decision, a club that used to make the hard ones but now is too piss week.

Offering 2 years is strange as well, its a bit of a nothing length, a "im too scared to make a hard decision length"

If Carr is the coach in waiting make the damn decision now. **** im ropeable at this club.

What happens if freo shit the bed again next year and they come looking for Carr as their coach

that might be the only way we can get rid of this clown, we would be forced to flick hinkley

Wanna trade your 4 flags for more home and away wins? No, didnt think so. Why dont you actually read some stuff rather than spouting absolute bollocks.

I'm on the road to recovery coming out of the other side, so now I can laugh when we lose, watch bits of the game, I even let my family talk when Port are playing now lol, I feel cured of the addiction to a club that has been a part of my life for years.

Try it guys, if i can do it so can you. I have convinced myself that it's a business and not a peoples footy club any more, besides like I posted previously, if the ex players can't stand up along side Tredrea we have no chance, it's not our club any more, some of us just finance it.

I'll make it easy for you
No club in VFL AFL history has kept a coach this long who hasn't won a premiership, that's like 150+ years, why do you think that's the case, probably because if you haven't won one in 10 years at a club odds are you are not good enough.

Has anyone posted a screen shot of Carr in the coaches box on the weekend? I couldn't recall another time this year the broadcaster panned to the box? is that by design ie: a message from the club?

The message is "please hang around while we dangle this carrot in front of you with no intention of following through with it".

I think it's AFL rules, port somehow contacted the AFL to get it removed last time.

I agree with your Sam Mitchell exploding policy, but I am baffled by your premierships-aren’t-important policy.
