On what planet is Hinkley even used in the same sentence as Lyon???

Ross took two different clubs to grand finals, including one drawn grand final.

Hinkley has never been to a grand final.

Relative to list-strength he is also MASSIVELY outperforming Hinkley this year. Saints shouldn't even be in contention for the 8.
The list strength of Port now is entirely courtesy of Ken though isn't it?
Hes built the team from the ground up.
Lyon inherited a great list with StKilda pre his GF losses.
Ken's considered a joke here in Victoria, what are you on about? I'd know I live here. I walked into work this morning and everyone was laughing about it.
They have probably just heard you melting about him
“Virtually the same”

Do they give out medals for “virtual wins?”
The irony of this post when praising Lyons GF losses
By that logic Lyon getting within a kick of winning a GF would be virtually the same as Hardwick or Clarkson winning a premiership.

I don't think there is much between the three really (or the four if you include Ken).

They are all great coaches, Dimma and Clarko just had a bit more luck.
If Heath Shaw hadn't made that smother or one kick in the 2014 prelim gone a bit straighter the numbers could be completely different.

The quandary we face is that this is the best, most exciting midfield we have had, certainly in my history with Port. I am furious with the club that this Hinkley debacle will diminish the joy, excitement, and fun, that long-suffering supporters (thinking 2007-2012) should now be revelling in. Instead we have to put up with another two years of his antics, ridiculous selections, and obvious coaching limitations, while watching crappy clubs (thinking Crows) pass us by.

Warning! Unpopular content coming:

I REFUSE to allow him to destroy the love I have for the club, and the enjoyment I get from watching port play/win. You people cancelling memberships etc, are welcome to do as you wish. I do actually understand your angst, it's just that I am not going to let it eat me up, and destroy me and/or what I enjoy!

As far as I am concerned, Josh Carr is coaching Port Adelaide, and the club has just signed a bum-slapping, father-figure to see players on & off the field, for a 2-year contract.

At some stage soon he will be gone, and so will his handlers & enablers. Port Adelaide will still be here - And so will I.
Mate you are still in denial.

I hope you can remain there for at least two years.

I have to ask,

If we make the GF would people here not go given recent events?

Will you admit the club were wrong to resign Hinkley in 2017 if we miss the finals in 2018 and 2019?

Oh wait we did.

We've been dealing with these sorts of hypotheticals and ultimatums for 6 long seasons. Ken stays losing when it matters.

This is very much how I feel. I am not critical at all of those who have cancelled memberships, more disappointed that we are losing some long-standing, passionate members because of this debacle.
I missed an entire season of going to games a few years back because of a health issue and that has played a part in my decision to continue my membership and attending games. I realised that there are any number of things that can get in the way of doing something you enjoy, so while I can I'll keep doing it. I love being at the game as opposed to watching on TV for a number of reasons and while I'm there my focus is on the team and what's happening on the field, not how much longer Ken will be there. My plan is to still be there in a few years' time when we are enjoying success and Ken is just a bad memory.

Contracts end. That's the whole point of a contract. The board has put the easy way out ahead of the future of the Club.

And you better believe if things are looking good after 8-12 weeks next season he and his media minions will absolutely push for an early extension so “Kenny™ doesn’t have to go through that 2023 fiasco again!”

Remember that sweet innocent time 4-5 months ago when certain people were like ‘relax, he’s gone at the end of the year regardless!’

Man what I’d give for a taste of that naïveté.

You would not believe the amount of hate I’m getting on this video. For reference me cancelling my membership was not some massive deprivation of money to the club, I bought my first ever membership this year to get a year of Kayo and I live in Victoria so I attend away games when I can anyway and will likely continue that. The real mistake was me beginning to give money to the club when that just rewarded the decision to keep him on board. Anyway I don’t want to sound like I’m trying to promote myself but if you want to go in the comments and have a war with some pro-Ken person by all means go for it, the engagement will probably mean my message gets out to more people.

The same arseh*le theatregoers have been saying he's about to come good for 8 years.

How long does it have to go on before we're allowed to be angry?

Absolutely I think he should of been gone in 2017.

But it has to be asked given the recent events where this board stands now.

Honestly would've preferred Richardson stay in hiding and say nothing that deliver that absolute dross.

He's nailed how to say absolutely nothing of substance in a few dozen paragraphs.
He is incredibly 2 faced.

Says totally different things to different audiences to try and get them to like him.

Premierships my arse.

I must admit that right from the beginning of the season, however it went for us, I genuinely could not see how he would be given another contract. Right up until the last few days before the announcement I hung on to that. Naive, wishful thinking, obviously :(

Not much between Ken, Hardwick and Clarko.

Hahahahahaha.

Go make a poll on the main board and see how many agree with you.

Nobody on the pro Hinkley side (including anyone at the club) has showed even the smallest bit of contrition or accountability for cheerleading a massive loser over the last half a decade as he's continued to make the club look stupid, so I don't see why I have to be held to my word. I've been a member since 1997 and I'll go to the GF if I decide I want to.

A little louder for the gaslighting scumbags of Facebook.

It's not about anyone holding you back or saying you can't go...I am actually glad you will still do so.

It's about the support of the recent decision of the pafc leadership the club as a whole. I'm quite happy to see from the responses people will still go.

Gold Coast once got within a few kicks of a finals spot which is virtually the same as making an elimination final which is virtually the same as making a semi final which is virtually the same as making a prelim which is virtually the same as making a GF which is virtually the same as winning a flag. Why did they sack Dew?

I'll still be a PAFC supporter when David Koch is in his cold, cold grave. I can absolutely still get excited about the future when I see plays like that Wines to Rozee to Butters to JHF goal, in fact it's doubly frustrating when I know how good we are and we've decided to blow 2 more seasons on a failed coach.

I appreciate this post a lot.

I'm a bit worried that Ken has wrestled back control or some control since the bye.

It is at the point where everything coming out of the club is a lie, spin or a contradiction. It's tough.

The only hope is that we get some Port Adelaide people into the club but I am very unsure even about that.

Kane has been saying a Grand Final is the pass mark for about the last three seasons, but then when push comes to shove changes his mind and cheers on another extension every time.

As much as this board are considered white noise or whatever.

The club imo can't afford to lose people that post here, decades of memories culture etc. You're the ones that are going to keep it "alive" for a lack of a better term

I'm genuinely mystified at the amount of hate Ken's copping (seemingly without much support other than me).

Also I like Port supporters as a rule.

I've got a few Port mates and one of them can't stand him but the other two like him.

They say there is a vocal anti Ken crowd (they use a particular word to describe you all) but most PA fans support him.

Obviously Bigfooty is the bastion of the Ken haters club.

Feel free to pop back in and apologise after we capitulate in another prelim though.
