That'd be the most brutal end to the season. Please no.
If nothing else it would be:
a) bloody typical
b) embodiment of Hinkley's Port
c) the subject of great mirth and derision aimed at Port from outside
d) still not enough to sack him

I'm supremely confident that we'll miss top 4 and lose an Elimination Final in Week 1. Hinkley better not get an extension under those circumstances.
We need only 1 win to secure 4th, don’t we?

There should be bigger odds to finish 4th and go down in straight sets.

Need to just put us out of our misery.... Is he staying or going.
Hinkley will leave whenever he wants to leave. We all know that. We just don’t like to admit it.

I can't see a circumstance where the club has the balls to sack him this year. As much as I'd like to see some accountability finally, I just can't see it happening. The current board and Kochie won't risk what they see as pretty consistently decent returns each year for a shot at a premiership. Im betting they are of the belief that year on year under Hinkley we are better than most other teams and have a small chance of snagging one, and the risk of going with something unproved in pursuit of that extra 25% performance is too high. I'd be impressed if they were willing to leave that comfort. We also know from last season that they will excuse a lot when we have injuries to key players, when instead they should be asking why it's now been 11 years with no backup plans

You are right. We have met the KPI set by the board.

On our board, their fear of losing is way bigger than their desire to win. They don’t even hide that. It’s no secret.

Hinkley doesn’t lose. That’s why they love him.

They are clueless on why we don’t.

Rucci always sounds tired, lacks the freshness and insight these days.

It's because he eats and lives like a pig. His nutrition and general health and well-being is utterly appalling. No wonder he looks and sounds exhausted all the time.

I can't wrap my head around Hinkley being a relatively young guy in the early 90s. He looks like he was born haggard. I can't reconcile Nirvana and Soundgarden being around in the same universe as a young Ken Hinkley

James Badge Dale (The Pacific, The Departed) is in talks to bring the ‘great’ man to the silver screen with the forthcoming biopic, Youse Get What Youse Deserve.

A modern day Tarrare.

Well they haven't given him an office. As I've posted previously, he works from a dark corner at the back of Cafe Cibo.

Gone there for a coffee maybe 10 times over the last 2 years and he is always there.

Yeah. I think he’s already the club historian (again, voluntary). I reckon his ‘payment’ is front row access at pressers and such.

They probably house him in the broom closet under the stands where they also house barry curtin. Its funny seeing him go in there after walking through the port club like jesus on palm sunday.

Is he dead yet?

Remember last year Ken Hinkley broke the record for longest serving coach in VFL\AFL history without a Grand Final appearance or Premiership at round 10 is a pretty significant milestone.

This year he breaks?
