I don't see us winning our remaining 4 games, which is what it would take for us to play finals. These players will check out soon if they haven't already.

I think 3 wins gets us in to the 8. The crows have horrible form right now, whilst the run home for the dogs, hawthorn and st kilda is also difficult. 11 wins with a healthy percentage probably gets us in.

That being said I don't see us winning 3 of our final 4 games. 2 wins max. Not that I think it will matter anyway. Even if we scrape in to the 8 we will be found out and subsequently Ken will leave shortly thereafter, if not already.

Even if we lose to Essendon we can still make it, Crows are flaky as shit.
Scary.

My brother was in the Port rooms after the Brisbane loss and he reckons that Koch was pretty pissed off in there, he wasn’t really interacting with anyone and Ken was nowhere to be seen. Koch ended up leaving earlier then every one else

I think St Kilda are the dark horse for the eight now.

If they can knock off Adelaide this week, they have a good chance to win the last 3 after that and get to 12 wins.

I can't see Adelaide getting more than 10 wins - they'll probably lose their last 3 games.

Bulldogs have a tough draw so will struggle to get to 11 wins, as will Hawthorn.

Port will lose this week and fall to 8-11 but could still get to 11 wins as the last 3 games are all winnable. Mind you, we haven't won 3 in a row all season.

For those who want us to miss the eight, I reckon it's better to hope for a St Kilda win over Adelaide than vice versa.

Koch has fired from the hip before and let slip how he truly feels.

For what it's worth, I 100% supported his comments after the west coast EF loss. This upset Boak etc. just proved how ****ing soft our group is.

Since then he's clearly been told to reign the public blasting of our coach/players in. I don't think its a secret he's not a fan of Ken. He trusted KT that re-signing Ken was the right thing to do - and that's what you do. You trust your CE to get the job done.

I reckon he's privately boiling because the club isn't performing and it's making him look silly. I think the thing that is holding this up is that Koch knows if Ken goes, KT does too and that's the thing he's struggling with.

My ladder predictor has us 8th with 11 wins. But that's assuming the Crows only win 1 of their last 4 and the Bulldogs only win 2, and us winning our last 3.

Even being as generous as possible I can’t see us winning a meat tray raffle at Docklands.

100%
There were heaps of articles (mainly by Caro) about a rift between koch, coach and the players due to his comments. Since then he has toed the company line.

I like koch, people just have to realise why he says certain things recently.

Since Round 12
2 wins 5 losses - equal 2nd bottom
455 points for - 2nd bottom, ahead of Fremantle by 7 points

At about the same time last year Marc Mclure was the only media person to really call out Hinkley and Port saying we couldn't score. 1 year later and nothing has changed. Wouldn't have anything to do with not playing forwards in a forward line would it?

Imagine coaching 2 x AA Chad Wingard out of your football club. Imagine your paid 700k a year to manage footballers and you did it so badly that you had to expel one of the best young talents in the league.

I'm on the GTFO Kern train as much as anyone but I need to tidy this up.

Ken didn't coach him out of the club, nor did he want Chad to go.

So we wait until it us mathematically impossible to make the eight which given evidence of the last few years for this semi corrupt league will be the last round... when we miss out.... heartbreakingly again.

Meanwhile another summer of our best was good enough and we wasted opportunities while another team that timed it's run well has its fairytale.

Just like last year and the year before and the year before and....

This first year finals trigger has been made up on BigFooty and makes less than zero sense. It is either next year or stretched over both years.

If we get rid of him now, we are not giving him the opportunity to meet that KPI and get his extra year. How that works legally, not sure.

Koch comments read as if clown man is out the door, but we are waiting for finals so that the media is distracted and less heat comes to the board for their major **** up.

I would like to see a body language experts take on kern and voss looking chuffed after that BS loss to the gigantics.

I suspect it may be along the lines of it being about two blokes who know they have financial security regardless of how much they suck at their job.

It works legally.....Ken just gets a pay out likely on his remaining contract. We don't have to go to court to sack him or anything of that ilk. Ken is no different to any other coach sacked that you see happen in other clubs, sports etc
