Pad,Bruce back
No other spot for lew at all
Dont think you will see Paddy or Bruce going back, makes no sense.

Lewie 202 and 101 Kegs off the bench maybe just what we need down back for the GC forwards, also relieving Hickey in the ruck.

Sure we should play 1 gamer Lewy Pierce down back instead who probably hasn't played there in his life.
I said pinch hit off the bench, who else have we got when we are getting reamed by 2 big forwards? any ideas?

We stop them at the source in the midfield, the key being Hickey coming up against Currie seeming likely judging by the GC fans saying Nicholls is out.

Day is seriously average and Wright still young, can't see him taking the game by the scruff of the neck. If Lee is fit and available we should play him.

Robbo/Gilbert will have to play on Day/Wright. When they push up the ground it won't be a huge concern as the agility of our boys will cause 50/50s as well as winning contests on the wing. Not all 3 will be able to effectively play inside the forward 50 at all times stretch us. Sure there will be some long and high kicks that come in to their advantage but I'd trust our experienced defenders to impact the contest better than a young ruck with one game under his belt to "pinch-hit" where he'd likely be out of his depth.

It's not like this is a forward line consisting of Buddy, Roo and JJK. The midfielders still need to deliver to them and if our mids attack them like they attacked Geelong for much of the game I'm not too concerned.

Don't allow them many centre bounce clearances and if the only way they get it forward is through slow, long entries then hopefully we have safety in numbers.

I still believe Lewie is the match for 2 metre Peter.

We should cut them up out of the center, but they have yablett and co feeding 2 tall forwards, we have small defenders.

Lee hasn't played, Lewie was an emergency last week after a half with sandy.

Anyhows i will leave it up to selection from here, we can go around in circles all night otherwise.

Not a hope in the world. Why do people think a player who has never played back can come in all of a sudden play back? More hope that Geary can beat a tall than Pierce and that is nothing against pierce. It just wont work.

Major redevelopment works at Moorabbin Reserve are one step closer after St Kilda Football Club late last week lodged a town planning application for the $29m project.

The application included concept designs and architectural images of the proposed redevelopment which includes:

  • First purpose designed facility in Australia that caters to the full spectrum of the Australian Rules Football talent pathway – from Auskick through to AFL level;
  • Indoor court for basketball and netball training and competition;
  • Public piazza for community events;
  • Dedicated space for Junction Studio, a vibrant new platform for St Kilda Football Club to engage with the community.

Exactly, Stanley a few years ago is a perfect example.

Had the same issue last week with Zac Smith, Stanley and Hawkins. Neither Smith or Stanley hurt us playing forward even though on a couple of occasions Smith was mismatched with Savage as his direct opponent.

Tom Lynch is the real problem and if Delaney can keep him to only a couple of goals, I think we will win and we should reward Delaney with a new contract on Saturday night.
