Rampe is cooked

Commiserations Swans fans I understand all too well how much it hurts to lose a grand final.

I have to say though that press conference was disgusting and disrespectful.

Yes the lions fans deserve to yahoo and celebrate but in no way should a press conference be held amongst that yahooing.

Horse did well he stayed composed while he would’ve been clearly aggravated.

Do better AFL.

Jude Bolton summed it up:

“Just 33 tackles from the Swans.
Embarrassing to let it become such an uncontested game and not have any control of the footy.
Belted at stoppages”.

When a 325 game club great says that, it means something.

And is damning for Horse.

Don't win more than 1 in a 100 i would think when you loose the possession count by 80 and tackles by 20. Something that i flagged after the WB and Port game earlier this year

His 10 year old daughter could have laid more tackles today than any Swan did.

45 tackles total. Parker the most with 6 and he's gone(either leaving or not best 22 next year). Rowy the next with 4. Don't want it enough.

Sad to say with Parker gone, we'll get worse at the contest

Just heard Horse and Ramps speeches at the GF dinner.

I have to say that I am disappointed with the messaging. No apologies to the members / fanbase for an absolute no-show, no words of real encouragement for 2025, just platitudes + congrats to the Lions.

To me at least, there was a lack of self awareness and remorse. I get that it's all a bit raw ATM but I was expecting more.

Not happy.

Probably think the grand final is next week

Can you imagine Craig Bellamy treating a GF like that?

Weirdly they was more devastation in 2022.

The other question I have is why apart from McCartin are all of our defenders ****ing tiny?

Flashbacks to Lloyd trying to defend Daniher

That was because the defenders were in a zone and you could see it unfold, rampe was spare but forard Melican And Mccartin running ahead, Lloyd had to leave a man to run and make that contest at all.

For the dont blame the coach comments you see, what the **** was the defensive zone shit

I don't blame Longmire for any of our losses, including today, but in 2012 Hawthorn was all over us for 90% of that game.

If they had taken a third of their opportunities then we would have lost easily.
90% of the game?
Bit revisionist when you consider the second quarter was 6.0 to 0.1, continued with the first two goals of the third quarter too.

2012 team were warriors and it was a game that could have gone either way

Ill take a 2012 and heck even 2016 effort , at least they tried, well won 2012 too, 06 they fought too,

Its the not "trying"

Other than the usual 'sack the coach' idea, what is the actual solution to why we always capitulate under pressure?

I don't get it.

Did Longmire tell Gulden to not compete today?

Wear the Red V? I am ****ing serious, its mental then surely, do something different, make it. look different.

It was the jogging efforts in the 2nd quarter that nearly killed me.

Also I have no idea what McInerney was doing most of the day.

Belted at stoppages all year.

Horse says we need pressure so that when they win it it’s messy and we having opportunity to attack.

How about we ****ing win it just occasionally and start with field position which isn’t 15 metres out from Brisbane’s goals.

No need to read I just need an outlet to offload.

Sadly I watch every Lions game even though I’ll never support them purely because of my Dad.

I deliberately didn’t post this week as I would have brought the place down as I was convinced we couldn’t cover all their runners. I was devastated when Geelong lost. That was the matchup where I thought we had a shot.

It’s frustrating to support this team as they are a well supported club but every where you turn it’s always about the other team like there is a deep seeded hate that I’ve never understood.

Pathetic but I give my all supporting the team adjusting life around their games (as a lot of supporters do) and all week I was thinking what could I do differently to get them across the line. Need to take a step back and realise how dumb that is.

So I’ve clocked up 40 years as a supporter becoming interested in VFL as it was at the age of 10. Chose the Swans because of the red V and stuck with them when the bears entered 3
Years later but not my Dad.

So I’m in love, deeply in love they are everything to me. So the comparison I make is that the one I love has cheated on me four times and I keep taking her back like the idiot in love full of forgiveness. Where you think if she keeps hurting me like this I’ll get some self respect and leave. But love makes us do things like stay strong when things are tough. But this may be the one that changes things.

I can’t keep giving to the Swans as much as I do. I’ll always support them but I took a break from posting on bigfooty for being a hater towards Uncle and I actually found some peace in not talking all things Swans.

Won’t make any rash decisions but there is food for thought in how much I put in going forward.

For the game Melican tried hard and was a big part of the success of the season. Roberts was ok and Fox and Rowbottom at times. Not much else to take out of it for me.

Horse is stubborn he buys into sticking to the plan and process and it brings a level of success which is a credit but it’s also the Achilles heel of further advance. He has it in him but it’s rare. The port Adelaide thrashing rest change up was a positive sign but then it’s back to the usual backing in the processsame old same old.

Next year Brisbane add another gun mid
Hawks add a couple of players that elevate them
Cats add Bailey Smith
Etc etc
We have already stated we won’t be very active.

Heeney hurting his ankle possibly reduces his fitness for next year if he nurses it all pre season.

Mills getting through pre season would be nice but already it’s hard to see top four even at this point of zero things happening. Sad but true.

F this day
