Autopsy Sydney Legacy in Grand Finals continues 10 goal loss to the Lions

Yeah, hence why I said we weren't the best team in it when we mattered. A lot of the Lions had monster second halves of the season and they deserve this flag. The Lions have a freakishly good list and when you consider the names they have to come back and the belief this finals series would have fosted, I think they should be comfortable flag favourites next year. Good on them.

But we did spend the majority of this year as rightful flag favourites. Suggesting otherwise is (recent) history revisionism IMO.
100% we still have a top 4 if not top 2 list, our headline acts just all collectively had a shocker and we didn't have the experienced player to come in to buck the trend

But we said that after 2014. And 2016. And 2022.

We did and yes this stings (hurts worse than 14 or 22 to be honest).

But we are building to something as a club, the membership, our development, the fans.

We aren't an Essendon or a Carlton.

Are we perfect, GOD NO we have bloody lost 4 gf on the trot and not turned up in 3 of them.

Am I pissed, beyond anything else.

But we are still goddamn better off than majority of the other clubs in the league... Or at least I like to imagine we are.

Would you rather make Grand Finals and lose them or not make a Grand Final in the first place?

I honestly don't know how to answer this one right now.
No I’m done with going to be humiliated.
Nah, this is reactionary IMO. We have a very talented list that is prone to shitting the bed on the big day.

We were the best team in it for most of this year, just not when it mattered.

We have structural and mental issues, but our list is one of the most talented lists we've ever had.
This isn’t true. I’m not sure McLean McDonald or amartey is number 1 forward in any other team (maybe Richmond).

I’m not sure our defenders are any good one on one.

Our midfield has been pantsed for 16 weeks. Maybe from Carlton or Geelong. Could Longmire at any stage suggest just try and bash it forward ? Instead watching Neale and Ashcroft just take the ball away all day like Dangerfield, like the bulldogs players in 2016.

Blakey gulden kicking was just depressing and why - because they’re trying to make up for the uncompetitive nature of the forward line.

The reality is we just need a hot start in a GF and it can change. We looked a chance of doing that today, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

We 100% need to make some changes, but we'll be back next year, unless we have a disastrous run with injuries. Today will linger in everyone's brains, but realistically if we make it again next year, we'll all allow ourselves to believe. That's footy.

If you couldn't tell, with the Lions being my second team, acceptance has set in quickly. 😛

We're soft. We'd rather play nicely and lose than have a ****in hard crack.

Hawks won by playing hard. Dogs won by diving at every ground ball regardless of the rules or who's legs were taken out. Look at Dangerfields first quarter in 22.
Dunkley in a 3v1 dives onto the pill, rolls over it and chucks it out the back to a team mate.

Who around the contest actually tried to crack in and get the ****in pill? Maybe Rowwy once or twice in the first quarter but that was it
Nobody that can come through a H & A season on top of the ladder is soft.
