..... to the corresponding game last year of us against Collingwood. Sydney get a 30 point lead relatively early, Bulldogs fight back in the 3rd and look to be home, only for Sydney to fight back and lose by the exact same margin we did, 5 points! It certainly got me interested anyway.

was thinking the exact same thing even the scores were eerily similar as well and once again the non-victorians miss out :(

I thought the same thing. Even with Western Bulldogs kicking the last two goals before half time like Collingwood did and then after half time kicking the first few in the third quarter.

Umpires certainly helped the W/Bulldogs.

Outstanding thread. Out on the town tonight watching this from place to place - made the comment that the Swans had to convert their chance to go six goals up if it arose, or else the dogs would find a way back. Similar to Reilly's disgraceful shank in the second term, I think it was Goodes who missed an easy one to put them 6 kicks up. ****ing scary resemblance to last year's SF that was, you're ****ing spot on BACCS.

Gotta put them away in finals boys.

For me it was Grundy's poor effort in the back 50 that led to a goal that turned the tables. 30 seconds later Malceski (I think it was) clumsily fell onto another Dogs player which gave away another goal. From there on in you knew Sydney were in big danger, and it showed in the second half.

And also IIRC, Maric made a howling error (I think it was a horrible fumbling effort to pick the ball up) last year which lead to a Wellingham goal to keep them in it. The two games draw many comparisons and BACCS is right on the money with it.

The thought struck my mind that had it been the Crows in Sydney's place, then Craig would have been crucified.....
