Honestly why on earth would we be adding Curtin AND ZZ to our list. Seven players on our list would be key defenders. Not to mention trading away a likely number one pick to facilitate this. Just madness.

I would be way more worried about selling our F1 if we were a middling side like Saints. Could easily get a false read on our list, cash out our F1 putting a finals finish value on it and then plummet. Basically - what Freo did getting Jackson.

The benefit for us is we're reasonably certain we will finish in the bottom handful. Therefore our pick has a "known value" and if by chance something clicks next year (won't make finals) we make out like bandits.

This might be my pessimism speaking here, but is anyone else worried about the pressure Harley's gonna be under once he comes to our club? Like the talk around him has been insane before he's even been drafted. How can we be sure this won't be a Jack Watts situation?

He will have pressure just like every player in the top 5.

Time will tell but he seems very level headed and confident. Doesn't seem like it will effect him. Some players just embrace the challenge while other crumble under it. I'm not at all worried about Reid. No one can expect him to dominate in his first year. If he does it's a bonus.

If Reid didn't exist Curtin would be a genuine pick 1 option for the Eagles.

On the surface I dislike that comment.

But the **** I know, I dont watch these kids close enough and at the end of the day you gotta trust the club to make the right call. If they rate Curtin better than the top 5 2024 crop this kid must have something about him.

It will be interesting conversation in seven, nine years Curtin vs Reid, Sid Draper, Jagga Smith .etc

If things go like this I’d be absolutely shocked, can’t see why the Crows wouldn’t pick O’Sullivan for example. This is a pretty bad mock draft imo but I know McGowan is fairly reliable so who knows.
