Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Keys you may like to sticky this post & move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread if you have one.

Nothing wrong with discussion, BW is a really interesting watch next season as to how he's used and how he goes.
He came on leaps and bounds this year so hopefully continues the upward trajectory.
As someone already stated the ruck merry-go-round can be an absolute gold mine in some cases.
BWilliams is going to struggle next year. It seems Flynn was brought in as a number 1 ruck and Simpson has flagged BWilliams as more of a forward in the future.
Obviously Oscar is our main kpf right now, maric performed very well and should get better with a preseason under his belt and darling is probably still going to get played and there's cripps,Ryan, long and more smalls to try to fit in.
Not sure its going to be the big fellas year despite his improvement this year

Will 2024 or 2025 be Darlings last year?
If he plays every game he'll get to 300 in 2024. Does he call it done at that point or go for one more year?

Depends how he goes I guess. Another year like he had this year and he’d seriously consider calling it quits. But if he finds some form and we show some improvement he might have a tex like resurgence (wouldn’t that be nice).

i was wondering how our list age profile was looking since i keep hearing we haven't even started our rebuild yet. so i pulled the data from footywire...

The two things that stand out to me...

1. Norf have virtually no-one over 25.
2. Collingwood are so evenly spread. No less than 9 and no more than 11 in any bracket.

Love this graph, cheers!

That 22-25 bracket is something I'd like to keep investing in next year (your Brockman types etc).

Having too many 21 and unders being key players early, and all making the jump into the 22+ bracket in a few years time will mean lots of 'first big boy contracts' at once, some overload injuries before they're ready to deal with it, leadership timing stuff etc etc - don't want to be gold coast.

We'll have the Reid/Ginbey/Hewitt types demand games early and that's natural but I actually would like the Brockman/Petrucelle/Witherden types having really good 2024-5s and holding their spots to spread the age wave for that reason. Let a few of the under 21s get confidence in their abilities at WAFL level, assuming that's possible with our setup

Lot of water to go under the bridge, but at this stage I'd rank Jagga Smith and Finn O’Sullivan as best two prospects. Moraes had a huge finish to the year and is an excellent mid/fwd prospect. He did his MCL in futures game on G, but already recovered.
Smilie is the other, big unit midfielder like Tom Green. Played CHB for futures games and was excellent, versatile player.
Draper small zippy mid with great skills.

I'm stunned GWS didn't accept our offer...
Glad they didn't, all of these guys look like better prospects than Curtin

God help us when we need to resign Ginbey, Hewett and Reid at the same time when they’re in their mid 20s

Hopefully we've cleared Mutimer's contract off the books by then.
