I'd love him. Can't see it happening though. Someone else will offer alot more than we could and I wouldn't be surprised if cotch and/or Jack go around again so we might not have much room in the cap as many of us were expecting before the season.

Also can we have Dusty, Bolton and De Goey in the same team? It's very attacking.

Avoid DeGoey. Highly talented but he just plays way too many very average games for what he’d cost. He’s 26yo and I’m not sure he’s ever put more than 6-7 good games together before going missing for weeks and weeks at a time. Had happened his entire career and he’s not going to change now.

Had to laugh when the Bumbers gave Stringer 3 years on the back of half a season good form since 2016

Exactly …. stringer put the effort in with his contract pending and played some great footy. Got his juicy contract, then let his fitness wain and now injured… again. Don’t get sucked in by players who pick and choose the time to be motivated.

With where the Pies are at I reckon they’d happily let him go. Grundy is 29yo start of 2023. Moore
is 27yo. DeGoey will be 27yo. They wouldn’t want $2.7m or thereabouts tied up in those 3 for the next 5-years…. greatly hampers any chance of getting free agents in 2-3 years time.

If the Pies finish bottom-5 then DeGoey compo would give them picks 5 & 6 in the draft. I’d then look to trade out another of their 27yo+ players with value … maybe Howe, Adams or Elliott? Could get a couple of second rounders.

They desperately need that as a lot of their youngsters have huge question marks from what I’ve seen thus far.

A good club culture can produce a better mindset.
A DeGoey type landing at Richmond would feel like he needs to prove himself again with Dusty, Cotchin and others.
Who is really challenging him at Collingwood?

I wouldn’t want us to spend the money it would take on him but I’ve got no doubt he would play better footy if he was at Richmond or another club where he was clearly not at the top of the pecking order.

Broad is quality too but bakes 5 years younger. Important to sign him up imho.

He's the future with balta and bolton which are vital too
