The difference is no-one wanted Treloar so Pies had to do whatever it took to offload him. Plenty of demand for TT and Hopper.

I wouldn’t mind missing Hopper this trade period and getting him next year for nothing (except salary) as a FA. I feel we don’t NEED both in 2023 with Cotch still around for another season and Prestia good for hopefully 15 games. It’s 2014 we will really need both with Cotch retired and who knows how many games from Prestia..?? And Dusty won’t be playing midfield much at all come 2024.

Hopper isn’t going to hang around waiting another 12 months. We’ve pitched a deal to him which he’s accepted and now it’s on us to get him across. And we will, as we aren’t the Bummers. You can’t approach a player and then just walk away just because it’s too hard. We must follow through on our commitment and I’m sure Blair will do a fair and reasonable deal, and the Giants will also be happy with any outcome

Barrett's fluff piece is a laugh on the afl site.

So apparently,

Geelong will find 'another' Hopper, they've got the 'money', and follow their process to not overpay.

Whilst Richmond have concerns all over the field, including the forward line apparently hahahaha

Yes I think they’ve had success in this area in recent times … Higgins ….Steven…. Rohan …Blease…Mitch Clarke …. Dalhouse
I’m sure the process never lets them down … and they surely didn’t overpay …

Just got the media fooled that club !

Go CATTERS

Funny how Sammy Mclure reckons packaging up 14 for Hill and Hopper was enough at the time for Collingwood, but now one first from Richmond isn’t enough.

Too many (maybe all) of these so called journalists let their own bias get in the way of actual realism or dare I say it factual information.

Sam McClure has basically spent half the season praying dusty will leave without one single piece of fact to back that up.

He’s a tip 🐀 just like two phones, purple, the lot of em are ass hats

I forgot about that! Great point …. 13th placed Tigers, who hadn’t won a final for 15-years and had won 2 finals in the last 35-years …. lose one of their best players who was still only 29yo to an expansion team who just came off a 2-point PF loss ….

Where was the melting about equalisation and fairness then?

I know a bunch of Tigers on BF ring SEN regularly … I hope to hear this great point about Deledio next week … please !!

Or how when the Cats were getting Hopper the media were all saying the Cats 1st (at the time pick 18) was enough to get him but as soon as he nominated us we needed to cough up a top ten pick :drunk::drunk:

Haven't you heard of the tiger tax? 150% mark up on everything! Someone's got to prop the AFL up

We were into dunkley in his draft year. He trained with us for a while. Why are we not chasing him now? I would have thought we might pursue him ahead of one of the two GWS boys...
Yes, I would have thought he would benefit enormously from getting away from the Bevoshackles.....
