The rumours of Melbourne pulling out something big this trade period is growing large.

There has been constant whispers of Tom Lynch but I don’t believe that.

What else could they be up to and more importantly, I hope Yze knows and can work on capatilising any big moves they make for the benefit of our footy club.

I figured they were up to somehting when they didn't show any interest in Chol given he's exactly the type of player they need, but maybe they're thinking bigger. A dees mate of mine reckons it's Larkey but I doubt that considering he signed for 6 years a few months a go.

Rightt well they can have lynch for that I reckon. Lynch is passed it for us anyway and could do some damage for the dees win win

Dees currently hold 5, 13, 25 and 33. They'll probably get a pick around 30 for Grundy back plus a couple 3rd rounders for Harmes and Jordan.

How are people comparing getting extra picks based on the rules of the draft to arbitrary decisions made by league office? Getting a pick if you won less than 5 games was a rule, everyone knew them before the season, every one of the 16 teams had the opportunity to receive that compensation in any given season. Did every team have the opportunity to get those picks Norf were handed out this season? No

Being shit should not be rewarded by league office, you might as well try and be as uncompetitive for as long as possible, otherwise if you improve too quickly you might end up stuck in the middle. Finishing in the middle for a decade and not winning finals is worse than being last for 3 years and stocking up on early picks.

Got to be Cadman, would be interesting if its something like Lynch to Melbourne, Cadman to Richmond, pick 5 to GWS though

Dont know if he is saying that to wind me up because he knows Bakes is my favorite player or if there is actually anything to it.

Nothing in terms of Liam Baker leaving other than people putting the fact he’s from WA and West Coast are planning on regenerating their list.

Also, I think West Coast will be keeping a closer eye on the contract statuses of English and Naughton before they make other moves for high profile WA players.
