Trading Nank won't happen for a number of reasons.Obvious one is he is the captain and a 3x Premiership.Yeah Captains have been traded in the past but how many have been premiership players?
Have said it in the past no matter who it is but if they request a trade too setup their post career future then they go with my best wishes.
As to where he could go for those closer to the window than us.
Ironically the only club is his old club Sydney or perhaps GWS.

IF Gresham's career best is AGAINST Richmond. Playing FOR RFC won't help us. Goodbye to 3 goal games. Back to the one goal average.

Silvagni name is so Carlton but he is the need.

Gresham's a good player. He's just a bit old for us imo.

Moves like that are polarizing ones and may appear just on big footy but would be 100-1 considered by Hartley. not even if Ryan looked like being Polly farmer would we do this as it would suggest his leadership that the players voted in was worthless ,,,I expect soldo will go and hopefully get us a 20-30 think it will

I’ve actually done work at 2 clubs. One on a more casual recruiting basis long after I left previous club. Long time ago now though.

So it’s funny when people slate people in a forum talking about football about “I think I’d trust the club over some person posting on a forum” trust me, the guys in roles sometimes aren’t the smartest tools in the shed.

The point is he can play, would be best 22 without doubt.....and we could use a few more players with 1GPG average :$

I don't buy that he's too old. He's only 25 and most importantly he's a free agent. His best is elite.

The saints are in the master class for overpaying huge bucks to hold onto their b graders , billings and gresh are poster boys for that , currently 700+

Just go back and watch the 17,19 & 20 finals series on repeat. We have 15-20 years to ride that.

If the list managers do their job correctly we will be back in the picture within 3-4 years.

He'd be our second best small forward after Bakes. Could definitely also play a Lambert-type role given his high endurance.

He'd fit the team well, but I'd prefer we went younger.

Even with no Graham we have spent some draft capital on Clarke, Coulthard, Cumberland, Bauer, Sonsie, MRJ, Campbell, Dusty Shai. now playing middle in the VFL.

already have Hopper not really going great. JH TT didn't get us to finals. Lynch and a good KPF and some improvement in cohesion in our middle hopefully make the 8. I just can't see Gresham making us a top 4 team


I'd try to bring a FA KPF and that's it.

New coach will probably start ringing the list changes in 25.

Our second best small fwd? Personally I'd select Cumbo

could well be since finding the tracker : Gresham wasn't top 5 in for any running stat in the RFC game. Coulthard has higher speed, and work rates.

Yeah and we have pickett, kmac, Dusty, prestia, Grimes etc all just about finished to go along with Jack, castagna and cotch.

I dont see the downside in getting a best 22 bloke in his prime as a free agent in when we have no picks and plenty of cash. Tigers don't want to bottom out. Middle aged free agents/money ball options are the easiest way to avoided that while still hitting the draft and regenerating.

At best youre getting a genuine match winner in Gresham ln, at worst you're getting Jack Graham mkII

Would be open to trade just about anyone to get us Caddy. He's that big of a need. We will go into next year with only Lynch as a reliable forward and when he inevitably goes down or drops off in form due to being smashed by 3 defenders every week like Jack did we'll be in the same position we are now. No avenue to goal and only long shot prospects coming through.

Gresham for next to nothing is a no-brainer to me. The guy is a genuine talent when on song, capable of kicking bags as well as rotating through the guts. **** Silvania.

Gresham is really not that good TT. One of my best mates is a big Saints fan so I go to a fair few of their matches - the supporter base gets very, very frustrated with him, and there'd be a large proportion who would "drive him to the airport". As a consequence, I've watched him quite a fair bit at matches to see what their beef is ... he is really ordinary quite often.

I thought he showed some real promise when he was very young - would've been in the Saints best handful of prospects in the 18-22 y.o. age bracket, but he just hasn't gone on. Gone backwards many in red, white and black scarves would say.

Even if he's effectively free trade-wise via FA (which is not really free given the salary he'd command), Gresham's a big "no" from me, on a number of levels.
