Lloyd...Conca...Edwards..piss poor amongst others

View attachment 269123

Can we now agree playing Conca in the midfield is insanely bad coaching and he belongs in the back pocket like I said?

I wish someone would prove me wrong by actually playing him there against a similar size player!!

One other thing, who was Grimes on today and why? Seemed like he should have been on one of the bigger Hawk forwards

Richmond gave up in the 4th quarter, huge problems with kicking to position, lack of shepherding for teammates. The signs are not good and they weren't great last week either. Clearly not playing for the coach or each other. Gale will have to make big changes this time it will be the only way that members will commit ie sell a bit of hope but I'm not sure it's going to be enough for next season. Pity I can't ski otherwise I'd be at the snow.

Peggy told us the players love the coach, everything is pointing to the next flag

Martin kept on keeping on, Rance stopped it from being 100+ points, the kids got another game under their belts.

Changes for next week, who gives a ****, it's like shuffling the chairs on the Titanic at the moment.

With 5 weeks to go in the season, anyone who needs surgery should be sent in so that whoever is coaching us next year has a fit list to start preseason with.

"we play til the final siren of the last year, no one goes in for surgery early" Dimma logic

Do we have to wait for next year to see a change in game plan?

I don't care what side of the fence you're on - poor game plan - poor execution. It all comes down to the same thing. It doesn't work.

I'm tired of watching players being played in multiple positions throughout the game. Jack of all trades, master of none. Are we just trying to be too clever? Nothing wrong with a bit of flexibility but is it so bad if first and foremost you are the best at something? That we go with a player's strength. Get some positive outcomes through instinctive footy. Dusty I think is lucky in that he is one that seems to be able to play to his strengths for most of the game.

Throwing every man and his dog behind the ball looks to me as if we doubt our defensive ability and also that it's a forgone conclusion we won't be winning the ball and attacking. A spare back is one thing the midfield and the odd forward as well is another.

Any chance we can get some separation around the ground? Concentration of players falling over each other with no option to get the ball out without kicking in hope or passing into pressure.

The ubiquitous kicking backward and sideways which, let's face it, no one likes, is clearly a useless tactic. Playing keepings off and waiting for the safe forward option tends to end with the ball into the hands of the opposition. I think that what starts out as taking a risk can over time turn into confident options and better work rates. You have to start somewhere and be ok with it not working out all the time. The outcome can't be any worse than what we are so rigidly sticking with now.

I think it would be a waste of the rest of our season if we don't use the opportunity to come up with something different that we can work on further in the preseason for 2017.

Honestly you could drop 10 players today and justify your decision. Need to play the kids but fear that Hardwick will bring back experience next week with Houli and Vickery in and probably drop McBean and Markov. As much as he needs to play the kids i think he will make selfish decisions to try and minimise the damage in the last few weeks.

Wait until trade period and Hurley goes to one of the top four teams

If you were Prestia and you just watched that shizen would you think woo hoo, I'm going to Richmond next year

We'd be lucky if Tyrone wants to come to Richmond.

Brandon Ellis is a terrible player. I don't see him or Vickery getting us **** all unfortunately.
Time for Brando to go to twos should have happened weeks ago but we don't make tough calls
Look at Newman and Maric both great servants of the club who have been allowed to play on one year too many better run clubs would have made the tough call on these two great servants

Dusty was not that good today.

To be fair our players where looking for him like Richo magnet to the ball
In your opinion Dusty wasn't that good and didn't give him a vote, yet you were the only one to give Castagna a vote.
What's that all about, is this your Mark McClure protest moment?

Game plan, is there one? From what i see the only assemblance of a game plan we have is slow the play, keep the ball off the opposition and use as many disposals as you can to get the ball deep in the pocket inside 50. With that in the players minds no wonder we can't win games, its so negative and it removes any player's uniqueness, we just end up with a squad of vanillas all doing the same thing, like watching the Minion movie every week.

At one point Astbury had the ball in heaps of space near the central corridor, first instinct was to look backwards, by then he was marked up by a Hawks player and we subsequently have all players covered up field so he ends up kicking to a 50/50 contest which we invariably lose. Its an indictment of how negative we are as a side and other sides know that and they put our players in two minds which causes the hundreds of turnovers were have made this season. If anyone needs proof then go back through the seasons game stats and count the number of goals we have gifted to the opposition through our indirect style of play and that tells the story in a nutshell.

Agree one hundred per cent
We r a joke at the present was interesting that the only time we went forward quickly we scored strange that

Last year Shedda turned into the player we all thought he could be; skilful, quick hands and a good goal sense, this year he has reverted back into himself from his shy early days and the only significant factor us outsiders can put it down to is the inclusion into the leadership group. Think he has been spared a lot of criticism when other players have copped it a lot more. I love Shedda's game, what he brings to the table and when he is playing well he is great to watch but he has been given long enough to pick up a certain level of performance required and and if Dimma wanted to send a real message he should send him down to the 2's because as a leader of our club his performance is not acceptable.

Yes that's the word. Negative.

Hawks fans have enough salt to stock a fish and chip shop for a year after I said Cyril was one of the worst on ground up until 3/4 time.
Honestly there were 40 worst on grounds at 3/4 time. One of the most atrocious game I've witnessed. Comical turn overs from both sides. It's as if the two teams were competing for a spot in the comedy festival.
