Steely Green looks a very lively and smart player. Really should have had 4 or 5 goals, and the winning pass to boot. He is known as a sharp shooter usually.

Kudos to Morris for letting Brindley play ruck for much of the last Q and especially the last 10 minutes. Skinny ruckman vs monster rucks, but he cut them up around the ball and was the difference when it mattered.

Good game all round from most of the team. If we had kicked straight it would have been a 5+ goals win against a side that has won 4 in a row.
morro gets a big contribution from the VFL players , Fmd we’ve won games with only 4 afl players in the field ,,,knows what he’s doing

and practically no midfield. I think Sonsie was the only listed mid that was going through the centre bounces

Yea certainly says plenty , winning two close games is also good , tho with the number of missed shots suggests we should have won by 4-5G plus had we kicked better than 10g 22

He’s A+B never heard a good word
We need more people to stand up to these trolls and drive them off the board. He’s a long time troll. Absolute loser.

RE Brown, he could have just come off a full preseason and it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Until he learns to play with any kind of intensity he is going to look a mile off it.

Trezise is a year older but is a mile ahead simply because of effort. Brown gives one half ass effort and then sits back and watches. Very concerning.

Just saw the stats , biggy 2G 7 Fmd , so did he play well ?
Best -
Street 28 pos, 10 contested, won the critical contests
Tresize 17 pos, 4 marks, 4 tackles
Teal 12 pos, 4 marks, halved another dozen contests and was damaging with his disposal
Lefau, 12 pos, 4 marks, 1.2, man amongst boys
Green 12p 2.3 (all points were sodas should have had 5)
Coulthard 10 pos, 5 marks, 1 goal, got to Bradtke's feet and linked up well as a marking option
Biggy 15 pos, 5 marks 9 hit outs 2.7 only missed one soda, two posters, one touched off the boot went through the middle. Should have had 5 too

Been saying it for weeks, we need Biggy' athleticism and chaos in our AFL forward line

Well done team commentators, Love your work. Lord of the Wings, any chance of something positive? Just one cheer.
He’s too busy preparing his posts about the team and McQualter should we lose. But if we win on the other hand……..

Good to get a win. Were the better side in the day, but frustrating not to win by 4-5 goals.

Biggie could have torn the game open and almost made himself a ‘Cant not select’ to the senior team next week. Still may get the game. But worked hard over the ground, strong on in the air and was good in the ruck. Should have kicked five. More consistent than his last few games where he has probably been our best.

Sonsie seemed to get the poise back and his ball use was better than the last few weeks. As other said, his defensive efforts were poor but a step back towards his last seasons form which is good.

Bradtke is another could have broke the game open. Got to most contests but should have clunked so many more marks. Disappointing that he couldn’t. When he did mark a couple we look so much better. Still impressed with how good he is below his knees.

Steely Green seems to improve every game. Should have kicked four. But his understanding of where to run and where to go as a small forward is rapidly improving. Love his aggression and attack on the man. Would have had to smother the ball in the forward half at least four times.

Tresize - it’s good to speak about him as a Richmond player. Was great. Will get a chance at some point this season I think. Did he lose a 1v1 contest? Disposal was pinpoint but wasn’t bad.

Coulthard - looks like an AFL small forward. Just a natural footballer. Can see him also getting a game before the year is out. So smart and skillful.

Miller - first game back and was solid. Didn’t dominate his area whenever it was there like he did against the Dons. Would have liked to see a more dominant display.

Brown - first game for the season and was solid. Seem to play more as a KPD then as a flanker. Didn’t notice him getting beat at all. Only 7 possessions but that wasn’t his role it seemed. Hopefully something to build of.

Bauer - a better game than the last few, but still a bit iffy. Looked better when moved forward in the last; certainly our structure looked better.

Banks - not used as much as he should have, especially Q1 but just skill wise and composure looks a class above. Hopefully he gets a run in the seniors very soon.

Biggie is going to tear apart a game very soon. Getting the km back into his legs after missing a few games, his work rate is improving every week.
Can actually see him being a very dangerous forward, alongside Lynch.

Good call by some on here suggesting early in the year we should play him more forward. Honestly didn’t see it working.

Clarke was spot on in his post draft wrap up re Tresize when he said he loves the contest, showed that today .

Leave Miller back and Bauer forward

Was today Biggy's first game as a forward? 2.7 is potentially huge if he tidies up some kicking.

Not sure if it's short lived experiment or they want to give it a long term go, haven't seen a VFL game in a while.

Was a bloody ugly game to watch with a lot of skill errors.

A few boys could’ve had really big days.

Steely the standout for me, would love to see him back that game up.

I believe Miller should train and play as a Mid for the rest of the year. He is good inside and has excellent skills. Regardless of the outcome he will become a better player from the experience.
If he had the tank Miller could play wing, but I don't think he'll ever be a good enough runner to play that role.
