One rule I grew up w playing in the wet - always play in front - it rarely carries further when the ball is heavy and slippery
That’s a fair call - would be nice to have a balance of defensive group that could do bothIt's a tough one with modern grounds that don't get muddy as the ball slides out the back really easily in the wet and creates the easiest wet weather goals if they're not defending for that.
