I'm fuming, not that we lost to the pies but at our team selection policy.

I said as good as Ryan was to kick 3 last week he should have been dropped in those conditions for Miller. Having Miller to ruck for Nank would have ****ing been a bonus considering the shit game Nank played.
Why we picked Hugo is baffling again, maybe if the conditions were perfect but he was average.
I've said enough about Mansell and I thought his game tonight was far better than round 1 but still, is that the standard we want?
Playing Cumbo after half time just proved how stupid our selection committee is, they are so pig headed and arrogant.
They could have played Sonsie but again he isn't match fit .. FFS put him in the 1sts we needed something different in the middle tonight when Collingwood got on top again.
Kicking to Lynch 3 on 1 again, is frustrating to watch, Collingwood knew exactly what we were doing and set up accordingly, not only does it hurt us but Lynch confidence cops a whack and he is half the player.

Part of it. There were a lot of skill errors under no pressure. It's been that way all year.

The problem is Dimma looks at our players and still sees a 27 year old Dusty, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Grimes, Lynch, Prestia, etc. running around. These guys can't carry us anymore and so we need to further invest in the next gen. I dont want to get stuck overrating our list.

Do we need to start playing Lynch up the ground as a decoy forward and Jack as the deepest? Lynch is constantly going against three, and at least we know Jack kicks them. Seems like a win win.

Too slow in todays game

Jack Ross was good today. I agree with the sentiment though. Ross, Hopper, Cotchin, Taranto, Graham are all one pace. Pickett, Short, Dion and McIntosh are quick but not express. That leaves Bolton as our only true quick mid.

I don’t want to see Maurice anywhere near the midfield unless he first goes back to the VFL and learns some awareness and disposal accuracy

His pressure is great but sadly I feel we have been seduced a bit by his surname.

We are old and slow.

Dimma can't keep persisting with the old firm all year, they are not the players they were.

I would honestly "rest" (drop) both Cotch and Jack next week.

Need to play two talls so Cumberland can be the third hybrid "tall" and I'd rather we pump games into Ryan than persist with Jack (plus he can ruck).

Cotch just doesn't really have a place any more. Our midfield is too slow with him in there with Tarranto and Hopper and our forward line is too slow with him down there too.
