Good win.

Kinda hard fought and things to fix still.

But lots to like.

Tomma gets the 350th Win and 4 goals.

OH in 50th kick 5 I think it was or at least 4.

Jezza few too.

Stengle, Close, Conway, Clark, Miers, Zuthrie, Stewy, Clark all very good.
Bruhn....started well and slowed but still a solid game. Dempsey good too.

Parfitt gets his own recognition... Great form last 2 weeks and deserves another go next week.

Stanley looking over his shoulder at Conway and knowing change is here.

Duncan showed his value and class

Good on Hawks for sticking around for guard of honour.

Duncam BLitz and Jezza chairing Tomma off for 350.

Things to work on but 3-0 is a great place to be heading into gather round.

Onto next week but geez its good to nail the Hawks.

Go Catters

Can defs see lot of upside from this side albeit a small sample size still.

When our offensive is up and running not too many teams can go toe to toe with us.

Gonna go bit early here but Conway is defs future AA calibre. Just a natural footballer and also has that physically around the ball and contested marking ability. Just needs to improve that tank obvs.

Excited to see how far the midfield will go when we have danger, Guthrie (return to his usual form) on top of tanner and co.

I’m bullish we will be a contender as long as our midfield breaks even consistently through the year.

Stengle has been in ripping form this season.

Parfitt good again, 21 touches and 10 tackles. Bruhn elite.

OH 4, Hawkins 4, Jezza 2 (should be 3), Stengle 2, Miers 1 (with 21 touches), Close 1.

Conway great. Defense as always.

Not to go early but continue with this form into September and we're a flag chance.

Just glad we got the job done for Hawk.

Thought there were really disappointing periods of that game where the team and several individuals didn’t do what was required. Just needed 10 minutes of intense footy in the 2nd quarter to put the game out of reach and make it an easy kill.

Can we just pump the brakes on Conway a little?

I thought he played well for a second-game ruckman, but let's keep it in perspective - he kept Meek honest and had a few good moments, but Meek did win the ruck battle overall... and he's Lloyd Meek, not Sean Darcy, Max Gawn, Tim English or Jarrod Witts.

For my mind, he did enough to keep his spot, and has a really good set of hands, but there's a fair way to go as well.

This board does this all the time - wanting a much-hyped young player to succeed so badly that an ok performance must be talked up as excellent. He was decent, and that's more than enough at this early stage in his career.

Not normally my go, but just can't leave it unsaid. That commentary was nauseating all day.

I know Geelong going well doesn't sell papers, and telling the everyday fan at home that Geelong have got another 10 years of contending ahead of them with the kids is the last thing they want to hear...but come on.

You know it's bad when Hodgey - A Hawthorn champion - is actually the most balanced when it comes to his comments. BT & JB despise us, and apart from the above, I just can't see why.

We did what we needed to and navigated a tricky final quarter. SDK was better in the last half of the game but that needs to be the bare minimum standard moving forward.

Best footy Stengle has played for 12 months and we look all the better for it. I still feel like Henry is a cameo player yet he kicks 4 today and should have had 5!

Bruhn is a future AA.

I thought he was pretty good tbh - not that Mabior Chol and Mitch Lewis are the last word as tall forwards.
His touch in the last quarter was excellent.

He's a bit of a victim of his own high standards IMO.

Conway played a better game than Stanley has for 12 months. He had a great game and gonna be very very good

Ginnivan is an embarrassment.

The guy legit looks to milk a free every single time he is in a contest.

To be honest, most of the Hawks were turning head on and looking for frees.

I can not believe this isn’t coached into them, it just was happening way too much.
All the smalls in their forward line were doing it. Ginnivan obviously, but Bruest, Watson and Moore(underrated flopper) were going at it all game. They're all shockers at it.
