Maybe. But both are contracted until like 2030 so within Melbourne's rights to hold both of them.

Still think that some sort of deal was done.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's a big off field resignation or sacking at Melbourne.

Something has to give there.

My 2 contacts at MFC (in off field non football dept roles) have both resigned and left in last month from there.... Both said it was 'toxic'.

Clarry has an ally in Gawn though, you'd be surprised if he didn't continue to shield him.

More like Petracca finalised wised up and realised his only real option was to stay at Melbourne

No doubt the strategy was for Petrecca to go nuclear and his manager leaked info to the media but now they realise that 1. Carlton and Collingwood don’t have cap space or trade capital to get him in the door, and 2. A contract with 6 years remaining is ridiculously hard to exit

Not a well thought through approach by player and manager

Feels like its been an elaborate ruse to put Goodwin and club on notice.

Petracca has made himself look very sooky an whingy though by doing this.

I've met Petracca twice (at the F1 and at a MFC Pres club function) and both time he's came across as VERY arrogant.

I met him at a charity event

Came across that he wasn’t there for the charity, but everyone was there for him

I walked away thinking- he is either AFLs new FIGJAM or FLOG, or both

Yeah, he's a spoilt brat. Obviously, he didn't get hugs from everybody when he was injured. What happened to the old days when men were men? ;)

Last year MFC did a Jaguar 'drive day' out at Chadstone with Petracca doing an initial speech and some cooking thing.

I didn't even bother going as my MFC contact said 'Trac was only doing it to get Insta/TikTok follower's' etc.

Never thought of him in that way but anyone who is concerned about their “Brand”
doesn’t seem like a club man to me.

Yeah, something needs to give at the Dees.

Ticking time bomb the past 18 months.

I still want their 2025 first round pick.

Will make watching their decline more enjoyable, at least until we announce Goodwin as our next coach.

Yeah but 17th most experienced doesn’t sound great 5 years into a rebuild.
Why do the Hawks youngsters have more games under their belt than ours... when we started our rebuild first.

No biggie if don't get luko on 1m a year for 2 years.... he's a useless fwd and doesn't seem like he wants to play hbf. Such an elite field kick and worst set shot ever.... and that's because his field kick he runs out on an arc.... goal kicking he tries to run straight... why change... buddy didnt
