After 5 long months, it returns...
Welcome everyone to the 2013/14 edition of the Crowd Thread!
It's been a while!
With just over 7 days left until the new A-League season is upon us, we turn the page to a new chapter of footballing analysis. To all followers from previous years, it's a...
At Docklands you wont need to reserve a seat with GA.
GA at Docklands is behind the North End Goals ( Bourke St End) and both Pockets on Level 1. All of Level 3 is GA
At Swan Street - Round 12 v WSW & Rd 25 v Sydney FC (Not Aust Day) are both fully reserved matches. This is to stop the 21k...
Congrats to the Wanderers who have now Sold Out there memberships with only Club Support and Out Of Town memberships available for Season 2013/14 with 15,500 seats sold at Parramatta.
Cheer Squade I'm guess by the seating map is M3 as that one bay was Cat. 7. I have M4 which was a Richmond bay Ticketek said so can't see them putting a Richmond bay right next to Carlton Cheer Squade however it's ticketek....

Can you win a match at Docklands though. Haven't won at the Venue since 2006 and you play there again this season coming. May have got the wood over us at Hindmarsh recently but at Docklands the scares run deep :p
There has been 3 sporting crowds larger than 55k at Etihad
Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United 2007 - 55,436
New South Wales v Queensland 2012 - 56,021
Wallabies v British Lions 2013 - 56,771
St Kilda v Geelong 2009 - 54,444 largest AFL crowd
My family moved to Melbourne from Scotland in late 90s. Wasn't until 2006 when I went to my first AFL match as from a big soccer family who doesn't really follow the sport. Saw that "basketball" game at Docklands.
Went to a couple more but wasn't till I started going with a mate from School in...
Richmond v St Kilda the week before last got 52,000 in the Sunday twilight. Depends whos playing and form. Its a right fickle timeslot.
That Collingwood v Dogs game was a Collingwood home game and I classed that as a poor crowd unlike this one which was a Doggies home game.
Collingwood are contracted to 2 Home Games at Docklands.
Richmond, Melbourne, Hawthorn are now just making up the numbers at the Venue.
I remember couple seasons ago Richmond tried to get out of playing any home games at Docklands but that backfired and we got that horrid Carins game and...
Regarding the roof with soccer.
A-League: Melbourne Victory have the say. Under Ernie Merrick he loved the roof closed and for 90% of matches it was closed. Ange on the other hand likes it open and was only closed once last season on Cup Eve v Wellington. In the Finals the FFA have the say and...
People complaining about Etihads seats have to be having a joke right. For AFL its not got a bad seat. The seats up next to the Scoreboards are "Restricted View" unless its Soccer then only one side of the board is.
I remember going to watch Victory play there first season at Olympic Park. Now...
