He hasn't been great for a few weeks. I really think it's a case of inadequate preparation, ie. this is where you go now, or your role has changed to this, without much else offered.
I really think this is Premiership Hubris unaddressed and possibly exacerbated by the inattention of coaching...
Just throw the cheque book at Scott for a payout. The first year he was there, it was the players and Brenton Sanderson and the ghost of Bomber that won 2011. Incredible talent acquisitions occurred in the following 11 years, apart from any that involved Chris Scott's influence...you know the...
"Cooked" really should be included in this post title.
Cameron is not on the same planet. Hawkins is the equivalent of watching a new-born elephant take its first steps.
The new/recent guys have regressed in skill and demeanor as the year progressed.
Stewart's coach asserted unbound freedom now...
I really can't see that they can afford not to bring Menegola in, not meaning I think Freo will pose much threat, rather that if he's in shape, as his VFL presense would indicate, they need smart skilled players in the main group asap going forward into finals.
So, what's going on with Menegola? I haven't seen any reports of further injury. He didn't play in either side on the weekend. Few will convince me that he shouldn't have been a serious consideration for inclusion in the AFL, and no one will convince me that leaving him out of the VFL was a good...
That's my point. Scott gets praise for preparation when the team plays well, but rarely gets fingered when they lack spark. See, if they are such seasoned veterans as you say, why not just wind them up, point them at the field, and go to the beach?
If Scott can be praised, then he can certainly be criticised.
The team wasn't mentally prepared for that game. They lacked drive and consequently had no cohesion.
56% of the team had 2 or less tackles. 30% had 1 tackle or less (Hawkins ~ 0)
Many say Menegola is too slow for inclusion, well most...
Cats rout North
That title is hilariously bizarre. In this instance the term 'rout' is best described as "to force out as if by digging".
What a terrible game.
Oh, Mullin was exceptional! Seriously, Geelong has to beat at least 6 teams currently in the 8 after Nth to make a reasonable position...
I think he was maybe one of the best in the first 3 Rds, that were losses. Maybe good in a couple of others, that were probably also losses.
I know the club are genuinely indicating 'managed', I mean he's old, right?
What I'm really trying to say is, he's been noticeably absent is numerous games...
I did see the 'managed' for Smith, but elected to write 'dropped' because everyone must know he has been playing poorly for much of the season...thus far. Throw in the potential for another individual accolade and he might smarten his act up. Yeah, he gains metres every game, but so does every...
Parfitt is only 25, can tackle & has finals experience. He's not like Dollhouse, who played a painful abundance of games for God only knows what reason.
Smith dropped (found wanting). Hoping Menegola is a late in, or Sub.
Oisin Mullin isn't ready for AFL. Many seem too easily elated when he kicks the ball, and only gloss over his mistakes.
It would be smarter to play Parfitt, Knevitt or Dempsey or actually all 3 in this game against Nth.
Another...
Panic Stations, Re bombing into the forward 50...again, playing straight into Port's designs. Why do the Coaches never say, 'well this isn't working, for this quarter, chip it to smith, duncan or holmes on the 50 and let them ping at goal from there.'
Strange position...Hoping the Cats can get there...not positive at all that they can get there...why am I not positive they can get there? Last year they were without Dangerfield, without Stewart, but they kept winning.
Wouldn't you put Bews on Greene? Maybe O'Connor? I said they have a streak of games at the ground? Wouldn't you start J Henry in the forwards as he kicked 2 last week, other than a 15th Century French Duke?
Big moment for Chris Scott. He's completely underestimated the Giants, who have a good streak at the ground. Put Batman upfront, has Guthrie on Toby Green. Elected to put the 3rd Irishman on debut. And they are still wasting plenty of opportunities by focusing on Cameron.
Seems to be a little too much emphasis on feeding Hawkins and Cameron. Unless Port/Lions start getting an abundance of injuries it's going to be tough to make the top 4 at COB.
The God's were not kind to Menzel, I thought he was great, and had the potential to be greater. You know he did his first knee against Hawthorn? Anyway, there is a reason Collingwood regret losing Henry, & not many cop the extent of what he did in the first round against them. My humble...
Far from it for me to hold a grudge, but who was that dickhead that said last week that Hawthorn would beat the Cats? Any takers?
Also, I said 'WTF?" Re: have the Cats been paid/told to tone it down? How do you explain the 3rd Qtr? And the 4th?
Hooray!!! Another Record.
It's definitely the aami insurance advert curse.
It's a thing, look it up on Wiki.
Hawkins is so unfit; he shouldn't even burden the 2's.
If anyone was to think the AFL is rigged, and I'm not saying that, but if they were to think that, and consequently believe
the...
Look, just to be clear, Brian Taylor hates the Cats, right? I mean, I'll be forth right now and openly say, I think Brian Taylor is a SHIT Commentator, and I can genuinely say my opinion has nothing to do with being a Cats Supporter.
