has had an awsum year! big strong unit that leads and presents well, can take an awsum grab and can kick a goal from anywhere, a very talented player. Has inproved his fitness base and is now very good at putting pressure on the backmen when they are trying to run it out, always plays in front...
great player, crumbing forward or even in the middle, is very small but hits it hard and never hesitates. Has been super compeditive with sturt this year, never gives up, quick, skilled and has a great attitude. Hopefully he will stick around.:thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
tom anderson started off in the under 19s played well and after a few people went down with injures was able to squeeze his way into the reserves side. posseses good skills and calm under pressure but his major weakness is being accountable, attacks very well but not so good on the defensive...
another update for other blue fans......
two key positions are now injured, this will hurt sturt because it does lack experience and depth.
johncock- broken arm- 8 weeks
coad- knee- season.
not looking good at the moment for the mighty blues. :(
i know its only round 5 but sturt has won 3 and lost 1 and have the buy this week. They are sitting equal top of the table and have chambo as leading goalscorer, he has double the goals of second place. i have read most of the other posts and almost everyone has tipped sturt to go bottom. this...
yeah i wasnt sure about this ether, i heard that he may have burst his ear drum!? have no idea how he would have done than tho. i presume, it would be pretty painful and i think it can effect ur balance. not really sure how long it will keep him out of action tho, will have to wait and see. The...
unfortuantly sturt couldnt go 4 in a row, they had a few out vs norwood, especially talls which they lack. anyone know who else is out and when theyl come back? this is who i no of who is out.... if u have any updates let me no...
Gum-ear- 2 weeks
kurtz-hammy- test
brockhouse-hammy- 2 weeks...
no way it wasnt staged. the american government surely couldnt think it could get away with it. they landed there fair and square. they wouldnt risk ruining their reputation further by being frauds! god dam conspirosy theorists!
there will be a sturt VS port adelaide power trial match this coming saturday on the 24th of feburary. not sure where it is being held tho. its a game with 6 "quarters" the port power young guns and rookies will play the sturt seniour team for the first 3 periods and then it will be a sturt...
"Haha overrated?? Hargraves is 3rd on the North goal kicking list mate!"
im not doubting his goal kicking abiliy, any fat no hoper can sit in the square and kick goals.
id rather have a player in my team with a positive hard working attitude and can teach and develop the kids comming up...
Re: Do You agree
of course we arnt thugs! we were playing within the rules, the irish are just saw loosing pussys who dont like the contact, they need to get in the wieghts room to be any kind of a chance. even if we are thugs who cares we still won!! and the true Aussie does anything to...
we won a premiership with no money just hard work and determination, maby u should tell ur north lads to stop playing for the money and start playing for the love of the game like the old days. u have all the money in the world for recruits and facilities and ur pretty boys still cant win a...
pretty good predictions but i think sturt will obviously do better this year with a lot of new players being signed and a totally re structured coaching staff. The attitude and vibe down at unley town is great at the moment, they wont do great but they will definatley be off the bottom...
aparantly barnaby french is having a year off and re joining the blue boys in 2008 if the footy fire is still burning strong and word is they are trying to recruit a high profile midfielder/small forward player who was delisted from Richmond, brodie is assistant league coach at west adealaide.
hargraves is over rated, old, lazy, arrogant and has a bad attitude, sturt is starting fresh this year with a young enthusiatic line up and coaching staff ,they can do with out the negative impact of hargraves.
 just wondering why ben ekerman was dropped? showed some promise and if my memory is correct linked 4 games together before being seriously KOd by tyson stengline. I think he suffered concusion and confidence problems from then on and struggled to get his form back. from what iv seen...
do not rate him and havnt met anyone else that does either. Not up to AFL standards and only gets a game in SANFL because hes on an AFL list. If he was a no body and we were judging him on ability and not the fact that hes on an AFL list he wouldnt get a game. skinny slow gutless and mentally...
with a new coach coming in a lot of old sturt players who previously quit are coming back to unleytown for a second crack. definatly some quality players thinking of returning, Klun is one the blues will be hoping will come back.:thumbsu:
i agree i would have liked to c brodie get the job, but the new coaching staff were introduced to the playing group on the 18th october from what i heard, and its rick Macgowan from centrals. 222 games, 2 priemerships, 1 jack oatey medal two times advertiser player of the year and a state...
this is incorrect he will not be leaving south and coaching sturt next year, the new sturt coach was announced to the playing group on the 18th of october but will be kept under raps untill further notice.
i know its still early days but any thoughts on who might be picked up in this years rookie draft from SA? any outsiders/ dark horses?
D. Pierce=fairytale!:thumbsu:
QUOTE- [SOme players just don't thrive in the VFL, and i think Rusling is one of those.]
if he was any good and deserving of another AFL game he would dominate most weeks in the VFL. He must proove his worth in the VFL before he is promoted you cant just claim that hes "one of those blokes"...
thomas is awsome for his age and size, such courage and confidence isnt found in many young players these days. When he puts on a few more KGs and spends a few years in the gym he will be beter than ever and be able to cop those heavy blows and hopfully dish a few out. The kid can play. he will...
