Not only did Jordan have the physical attributes to be good at AFL, he had the work ethic and drive unparalleled to probably everyone else on the league, if he wanted to be good at it, he would.
He's been known to gamble hundreds of thousands of dollars on half court shots, and if he got down...
I had an old school friend play in the game at half time on Thursday night, for those who don't know the boys that participated were disabled in some way. I heard from the guys brother that the boys were being taunted at the station after by a group of Pies fans, with them getting in some of...
True, although not all players will adapt to getting tagged immediately, see G. Ablett a few years back, just hopefully he adapts sooner rather than later! It also doesnt help when Corey has been paying at times off half back and Bartel played on Richo.
Hadley has the track record when fit, before his knee reco he was a fantasy gun.. Guess it all comes back to the risk/reward scenario, id prefer to see a big more of Ray before I got him, I'd go Hadley only cos of his past (scoring not injuries haha)
Selwood was tagged against Richmond, he said so on the channel 7 sunday footy show (cant remember the name) it's interesting Richmond chose to go this way and also bloody frustrating for those who thought 'Ablett et al will allow Selwood to run riot and dominate SC', :p ultimate compliment for...
Hodge is a tough one though it's hard to justify keeping him at the price when you know he's going to drop next week, and you could downgrade to anyone who is currently doing better and use the capspace for a better upgrade somewhere else (puts forward a good case for picking him up in the 1st...
As a Geelong fan I did query Mackie as a supercoach pick, from watching a lot of him he does get a lot of the ball, but his disposal at times can be terrible, doesn't hit a lot of targets with his kicks, ala T. Cloke. Awesome DT Player tho.. And he's still a great player so don't take anything...
As a confessed compulsive trader - yes, my opinion of Kerr is he doesn't get enough marks and tackles to get the big score, more of an in an under potential, on top of the fact u need to get rid of Raines, I guess you could look as it as almost a 2 for one prospect?
Maybe not this week BUT what if C. Cornes has another shocker? Given it's 1st week this week, and although I am normally a compulsive trader in early rounds, I'm reluctant to get off him cos he's been so good in recent years (pre-08) but is he showing signs of his age? Any comments of people...
Selwood's the great unknown in the sense that he's splitting midfield with Ablett, Bartel, et al whereas Goodes has no issues with that here, looking at the Saints injuries for round 1 Goodes is a chance to tear it apart IMO
so i guess thats what you have to assess when deciding, for me I have...
Very tough one!
Roo v Harvey - Id go Harvey to start just because or Roo's delayed preseason
Dal v Hayes - Id go Hayes, just prefer him, think he will do better
Skip v Hen - Id go Skip given his preseason to date
So on majority id go option 1, HOWEVER i think Roo will come good after a few...
Was a gun for me in both in either 2006 or 2007 (can't remember) puts up great stats, disposals, marks, tackles.
However, I believe he's having a delayed start to the season due to off-season surgery and won't even be playing round one??
On top of the fact that his temper is really a turn off...
Id say he may take a while to get into some form due to a lack of preseason, also a risk given his history, maybe wait and see how he starts the year and if he works into it..
My question..
is houlihan a must have?
at the moment my teams seems to have one too many of..
-Adcock
-Malceski...
Doesnt seem to be a question up at the moment..
sorry if this ones been done but..
Foley v McLean?
McLean - Looks as though Brock has finally sorted his off field issues which will hopefully translate into his best season on field.. not sure of his drawbacks, guess receiving the no. 1 tag...
Get over it Freo supporters, what do you expect when you come out to play and dish out that rubbish? Expect Geelong to stand by and let it happen? Stupid football from thugs, surprised Carr didnt have a brain implosion too that's all he's good for these days.
Having said that, Crowley did...
Who ever said anything about Mackie to make him overrated?
Obviously you've never watched Rooke play to know hes probably one of the most hard at it blokes in our side, clearly thats why he went over to Germany so he could be right to play in finals
Carazzo would at best replace Byrnes or...
Definitely tough, i just think he's bitter about being the man Geelong traded to get Ottens, and then we won the flag a couple of years later :p
seriously though would love to see this guy play a full season, injuries in the last few years have ruined him, was great as a youngster at the cats...
Yea he's definitely an angry man :) still tough tho.. I love watching Lingy take a whack, acts as tho he's bout to die and gets everyone worried then hes back to normal at the next contest like nothing happened haha
Kerr and Cousins apparently had some issues, stemming back to Cousins' sister. Was mentioned in mX couple of years back. Also had a mate who's friends with one of the WC rookie listed players
No doubts about Ling's toughness and obviously Buckley is well informed as Ling used to tag him a few years back, however I would have to argue that Chappy, Bartel and Scarlett are tougher than Ling IMO, Chappy is toughness personified
