Thanks Ratts. Your contribution to this club has been amazing. Not many people in life get the chance to do what you have done, and you have done yourself, the CFC and us supporters proud today. Didn't blame anyone just copped it on the chin.
Even though I believe the right decision was...
5 - Murphy best by a mile imo
4 - Waite so important straightens us up bigtime
3 - Gibbs seems to have hardened up this last month
4 - McLean would be top 7 in the b & f I think now
1 - Jeffy Garlett played his best game this year from memory
BYP - Casbolt and Waite compliment each other nicely
I thought they had to say a player was injured when making a late change?
I was of the understanding a late change can only be made for an injured player. Not for tactical reasons.
That doesn't explain him playing the next day though!
Not when he is contracted for next year and we don't want to trade him. If he was uncontracted then yes, but we hold the cards this year.
No way would we accept a second round pick
Re: waite and carlton agreed to terms
I don't mind a 3 year deal as long as its heavily backended to take advantage of the veterans list. Im sure Swanny would have done it this way.
Or a 2 + 1 with minimum games required as others have suggested.
The increase takes effect on November 1st.
Have their delistings or Gardner's retirement brought them under?? With Pelchin saying today that they do have issues I would assume the answer is no.
I read "Don't think that the Aints is over the cap anymore" as today. Not next year. Today. Yes...
New Deal Starts November 1. If they were over yesterday or today, they are still over to October 31 until they drop some payments!

I agree entirely with Stamos. If they want him back they can have him back. IMO he is of no use to us whatsoever. (Would LOVE to be proved wrong though)
I think we will get something for him. A developing team will take him. GWS, Richmond, Melbourne etc
3rd Round Pic? Or Maybe more...
We better re sign him. Would be a big mistake to replace him IMO.
Would be absolutely gutted if they didn't.
He has been fantastic this year and continues to develop himself and his players.
I don't think he could have done much better this year TBH.
He got beaten in the box a few...
If Carlton improve any near as much in Pre Season 2012 as Pre Season 2011, we will be right up there no doubt.
Not the team to beat IMO.
Hawks & Collingwood will be.
Teams to improve from Top 8
Hawks - Like WC this year with a fully fit team will go a long way
Freo - As Above - Also...
No Excuses!!
We lost.
Re Sign Ratts. He has been fantastic!
If we improve from 2011 to 2012 like we did from 2010 to 2011 we WILL be a huge chance!!
Bring on next year.
I think after a full pre season training towards becoming a KPF, we'll see massive improvements from Krueze next year. We have to remember he was in recovery last pre season and imo hasn't been given the training program required to become a KPF.
Keeping Hampson will give us the flexibility...
You obviously haven't watched Carlton for the last 6 or so games!!
Gibbs has played as an attacking half forward more often than not in the last 2 months.
You might get a surprise Sunday if you actually believe this.
LOL. Butcher is far from a discard.
Remember he is a KPP who will take a touch longer probably to make it than your run of the mill midfielder.
I would compare him similar to Watson or Lucas for us. Where not many opposition supporters see much and they have proven nothing. They pick the...
Great Discussion Point! :thumbsu:
I think the way the team have "bought in" to ratts' game plan. He is as much a part of this team as the players. Everyone seems to be onboard.
If he were offered a concrete deal with Ade or Dees,or anyone for that matter, I think he would take the risk of...
Do you not see the big picture.
Say they shorten the season to be 17 games or use a yearly rotation system and have an equal draw as far as teams you play.
It will lessen your cause to have Friday Night and blockbuster timeslots.
Or you can have timeslots but no handouts. Well all...
Every one else in the AFL except you guys pretty much.
If the AFL did what you suggest the game would be much worse off.
Less money means less wages for players which means alot the best jnr talent in the country would pursue higher paying sports.
You must like watching dominoes!
In 10 years...
Thats probably a fair enough call I'd say. Should have replaced uncarlton like with weak/pessimistic. Which I think is not a characteristic of the CFC or their supporters. Generally speaking of course.
I see your view also that it's a more realistic outcome.
Its not relying on them for...
YOU should care. It's keeping you above water! (You meaning North)
I would be the same if I supported North though!!
If Carlton looked like they were not going to be around in 20 years* I'd say stuff the rest too. I think most would if it was there club.
* - With the AFL wanting/needing to...
Give North Collingwoods Draw And the AFL would be lucky to make 700 mil on TV Deal.
I don;t particularly like collingwood but you have to be realistic. Every club would suffer then.
How selfish to want to drag the rest to poor street with you.
We'd be worse than the NRL!!
Thank you. Next time can you say that! Not everyone has the running knowledge on your club that reads here. By not including essential details and using totally incorrect words, one can only read the words provided.
Therefore, when you don't write sentences correctly people read them how...
